Thats what I'm thinking, shit happens, life happens, but it's your fault if you sit there and cry about it rather than improve your situation, this logic can't be applied to everything, like, murder, you can't improve if you're dead. But ultimately, how you choose to react is the thing that helps you, and if you react by throwing a tantrum, of course it doesn't get better

I see guys hating the gym because they can't get the results they wanted which is ridiculous. you don't just work out and eat healthy for looks, it's for your physical and mental health. I don't need to spend money to strangers who will teach me how to work out or eat through the internet or make me buy some essential-oil like product that is absolutely useless or even harmful.

This video is out of context a little bit and it is true that I think it was him not improving and not an idea of self improvement. Still, we should not judge this man even if he is mistaken. If you want to attract girls below 25 years old then growing a beard and becoming really masculine wont work, its best to just be prettyboy. If u want to lie to yourself that youre not doing self improvement for girls then it means that you know deep down that no amount of self improvement will get you girls im so sorry.

People totally misunderstand self-improvement. It's not about blindly following items on a list that someone has prescribed you (e.g., getting a haircut, different clothes) for the sake of doing them. It should be a guided process, in that it actually improves your circumstances. So, you become fit and healthy because of how it makes YOU feel, you find a hairstyle that works for you, you dress in clothes that fit and that you feel confident in, and you take up hobbies that you're interested in. And so on and so forth. If "self-improvement" isn't improving you, what's the point?

ngl i do standby self-improvement a lot but like it kind of made me worse in some ways. Like I remember at one point a lot of my friends hated me (in secret) due to me giving off the impression that I have this massive ego due to how well I was doing for myself and I kept trying to convince them to join me on self-improvement too. Also a lot of the advice I was given when it came to women didn't work and the advice almost ruined my relationship with my gf. Like fair enough I probably interpreted it wrong but from my point of view I followed closely. I do appreciate that it helped me mental health and physcial health wise but otherwise some of the advice kind of made me almost lose relationships with the people I did care about at that point.

The argument can be made that losing friends that are not wanting to also better themselves is good for you. Better to have friends that want to grow and will motivate you toward it than ones that will celebrate when you stumble. A good friend will tell you to get back on the horse when you fall, but a bad friend will say, "I'm glad you've joined us on the ground again."

Two things are possible, one that the people you lost were not conducive to your growth as a person and you are better off without them/they themselves have not attained the level of growth they need and resent what they don't understand, or that you came across as self-righteous and obnoxious/preachy when you started learning these new things and didn't stay grounded when expressing stuff to people (even if you didn't intend to do it, it can happen).

@@dosomestuff1949 How: First, what is self-improvement really? It's a broad topic to begin with. But in general, it means to improve yourself in multiple facets of your life. For example, improving your physical health, looksmaxxing, improving diet, sleep, getting rid of bad habits (like porn, drug use, any addictions) etc. Measure: This will be largely qualitative. You don't need to worry about 'measure', you will see progress within the first few months though. After the first year you'll notice the significant changes in my opinion. However, it's important to assess that you are progressing in your chosen goals. Each goal has their own nuances for progression that I won't get into but you should do your own research on that. (That is another big part of self-improvement: knowledge.) What: This is largely up to you and your own goals, some examples were mentioned in the "how" section.

I've been lifting weights for 2 years, the last 3 months of them I was really doing everything, that stood in a book I read. I counted my calories, 300 calories above maintenance, macros, 3 times full body per week, 1 day cardio, compound movements mostly, slept 9 hours a day always from 7PM till 4AM, stretching 2 times a day. I was really not happy and satisfied with my results, so I stopped doing all of this stuff and now I'm eating and living like a normal person. I'm not depressed anymore and actually happier. I went to 2 trial trainings for kick boxing, because I want to do MMA now. I was overthinking way too much, as I always do.

But if you want to sleep 9 hours, you can simply wake up at 6-8 am. Personally, I sleep at 10 and wake up at 5 and it easily suffice me and I don't think it's tiresome.

It's a slap on the face that i actually needed. I remembered of mentioning it because of how the guy said he is doing it "to get girls" and because of how he blames something else for something that was his responsibility. The book adresses things like that.

It's easier to keep climbing than to start climbing, and when you're stuck in a ditch your only option is to start climbing. If self improvement is harming you then by definition you´re not doing self improvement... There´s a difference between being on a journey of true self improvement and being on a journey of copying others. Although there is overlap between the two because you do need to aspire to be more like certain people or things you idolize. I think the trick is to seperate the traits that make someone admirable from the person in question and then only emulating the good traits and not the bad ones.

Your metabolism is going to slow and you’re going to retain more bodyfat. This seems like less of a “self-improvement” problem and more of the effects of aging. @@beganitdidnt6535 His hair is a great part of his looks. Most “chads” I know you worship would look terrible or not as good without hair on their head. The haircut unified his looks as it’s looksmaxed. His hair is apart of his looks. It depends on the persons skull as Brad Pitt still looks good without hair. However you’re denying that looks give you points in looks. He also gained tons of weight too.

@@CollagenExpert yeah they wouldnt look as good but still good the point here is is that this guy cannot pull off the bald look which means he probably cant pull off any short hairstyle and i dont worship chads women do its just reality and common sense observation he barely gained weight lol i see fitness trainers purposely gaining weight just to lose it and they even looked great overweight

thats dope, but i wonder why he decided to change his haircut like that because of this "self improve" thing he does or just because he is trying to be those "gym beast" looks and girls started to leave him and start blaming on becoming a "men" 😂 *theres something fishy with his story or he is just that stupid"

I think the guy just matured and became more masculine, when that happens you lose a certain aesthetic that would qualify you as a pretty boy and enter the grown man category
