The only thing i hate is them trying to diss chris and have him remove from the series. Like it or not HE WAS part of her story a HUGE part at that... Dont appreciate how Chris gets treated at times.

She had a combination of talent, charisma and stylistic versatility that was, and will forever remain, unequaled, and was a class act. Add to that the fact that she was sweet - natured, and so incredibly humble - despite her great talent and the remarkable things she achieved through it - and you have the reasons why I've been a fan for so long, and always will be. It's the combination of the artist that she was, and the person that she was, in general, that make me love and admire her so much. I just know Selena is looking down, saying "All that fuss over ME"? Chris wrote a book in 2012 called "To Selena with love" and was later sued by Abraham, the dude cannot even talk about his former wife without her dad chasing him down. Chris is her soulmate.

Selena was the embodiment of what you can do in this world if you really want something. She inspire this irish redhead to sing my heart out no matter who is looking or listening and I appreciate that every single day. I was still only a kid when she was taking away from us but I still continue to sing every single day because I didn't want to give up on it. And it landed me in a couple of cool places to sing in some cool venues because I stucked with singing and I sing every single day. So thankyou Selena for teaching me this important lesson. Thankyou to all of her family who help support her then and today, thankyou for sharing her with us. She will never be forgotten, ❤❤

Just to think on April 16th this year Selena would have been 50 years old. Thank you Grammy for giving this woman her credits. Selena was the first Mexican singer I was totally invested into, her music touched me.

I was 8 years old when selena passed. I love her song even though im not speaking spanish.. my sister and i used to sing her song “dreaming of you” since we were kid and yet we didnt even know that singer of that song “selena” was gone for many years! Last 2019 i just found out that she pass 1995 and i feel so sad and hurt by knowing that so i started to watch selena movie and watching all her videos i have been fascinated about her and also do some research about her😭😭😘😘 i love her so much and I admired her alot rip my love and congratulations u deserved it!

I'm in tears over this news! That biopic about her was my introduction to Selena during my days in middle school. Music is powerful and still has that ability to carry on for decades among generation. Selena's no exception. I still have those few songs in my head. This most definitely is a bittersweet moment for her family. She's well deserving of that lifetime achievement award. A star broke in its flight. A beautiful, talented woman with a beautiful personality. She has as much talent as a madonna, a whitney, a janet or a Aaliyah. She had the potential to make a big career like those ladies. She is a huge example for the latin community in particular and was about to make this cross-over.
