It’s so sad how Chris can’t really say much legally! Chris knew a side of her that NO ONE else knew!! I’m still wondering why her dad sued him for the movie Chris tried making. There’s a reason why they got married without telling anyone. I mean for crying out loud in both the movie and show and real life they kept saying it was so that the family would have no other choice but to accept Chris which speaks a lot of volume about how controlling they were!! Maybe it was going to show us the truth about the Quintanilla family(suzette, her dad, brother,& mom)and they didn’t want to be portrayed a certain way. Like even now if you look at all the videos from that family from the moment she passed until today they literally have been living of HER fame excluding Chris. Because the dad (Selena) is a narcissist I’m sorry but NOT sorry. The man is money hungry and he controlled Selena when she was here on earth and STILLS tries to control her SMH . Honeslty couldn't stand her dad in the series. What a toxic person. Would rather force his kids to be in a band than get out and find work to provide for his family.

In the beginning of "To Selena, With Love", Chris writes of getting a phone call from a friend, who tells him about a dream he's had. In the dream, Selena asks him how Chris is doing, and he tells her that Chris is having a really hard time. Selena tells him not to worry about Chris, because "I've got him". I think it was Selena's way of letting Chris know, through his friend, that she still loves him, and is watching over him. I believe that she knew he was at an emotional low - point, and needed the comfort of knowing that, while she was gone , she wasn't really "gone", if you know what I mean. I don't see any other way of interpreting the dream.

You can still see sadness in his eye when you really pay attention. He’s trying hard to convince himself he’s genuinely happy but his pain still shows.

The truly saddest part was hearing that Chris moved on, has kids, and is now divorced. I know, in my heart, that had Selena lived, she would've bore his children, and they would've been beautiful! And her and Chris would still be together. Their's is a story of true soul mates, I can just feel it in the way he talks about her. Like that thing about them holding hands on the plane; that is just like me and my wife who died. We would always tell people that when we held each other it just felt...right. Like hugging her is what I am always supposed to be doing. The rest of the world just melts away and I'm holding my baby. And that's also why no relationships after "The One" have worked out, for me or for Chris. We were lucky enough to not have to settle like most do. We got the golden spouse, and in turn, we were that for them.

I always wanted to rewrite that movie Titanic. I thought it would’ve been awesome if she would’ve had Jack’s baby.

When you look at them, they match perfectly not only on a physical level but also on a soul level. They were meant to be. There’s no love which is more beautiful than the one of two soul mates. I believe they will be reunited. Not in this life but in an other where they will be together forever.

It's a living nightmare. I'm only 23, and I lost my soulmate in August 2020. It's so ironic but amazing, I've been a huge fan of Selena ever since I was a child, I've always said I wanted what she and Chris had. Flash forward to now, I actually have/had my own Chris, and soon after I showed him the Selena movie, he started calling me his Selena. (Because of the way they felt about each other). He actually cried at the end when he saw how Chris reacted to Selena's death and said he wouldn't know what to do if he were ever in his(Chris Perez's) footsteps.... Today I am the one experiencing exactly what Chris went through. Losing your soulmate is a pain like no other. I know exactly how it feels.. to want to crawl into their casket and go with them. Now I'm only grateful that our 2 year old daughter is too young to understand her daddy is no longer with us.

If it wasn’t for the father keeping her legacy alive with the movie, museum, statues and tv show, there would be no interest in Selena today. Sadly he’s not allowed to because of Selena’s father. He won’t let Chris do anything involving Selena and when he released his book about her Abraham quickly sued him. If Chris ever wants to make a movie he will probably have to wait until Abraham dies at this point :/

@@haleysandoval1320 Yes. He's 81 and gotta die sooner or later. But I reckon he'll live to 100 just so Chris can't! He'll NEVER accept that Selena and Chris were so in love that they defied him and eloped. If Abraham can't control it, then it just ain't happening. And to cut Chris out like "an employee", as he said in an interview, rather than being Selena's husband OF 3 YEARS is just wrong!

@@j.whiteoak6408 Exactly it’s disgusting on how they treat him! He was her husband a man she loved and was married to. He needs respect and we all know Selena wouldn’t like Chris being treated like this by her father.

The day when he passes, god will welcome him to his kingdom. There he will see selena with a big smile and warm welcom that they reunited again.

He will always love her and grieve. I read once where he told an interviewer that he just wanted to crawl in her casket and go with her.

If you think about it, they were gonna celebrate their 3rd wedding anniversary barely; two days after she passed. They actually hadn't been married for that long. They were still getting to know each other as husband and wife and easing into marriage.

It does matter how many times i watch something about Selena Quintanilla her death gets me every time😞😢😭💔 Chris Perez was a lucky man to be with a woman like Selena Quintanilla she was sweet and down to earth I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU SELENA QUINTANILLA-PEREZ ALWAYS AND FOREVER (R.I.P SELENA QUINTANILLA😞😢😭💔)

I bet that when selena died a lot of people where scared that she would be forgotten but it has been 26 years later and will never be forgotten because she did change in the world something that is to powerful to forget. she is one of the best role models because she encourages you to keep going no matter what and shows you that hard work and kindness pays of. I mean at first her parents had a hard time with money but then with kindness and hard work it payed of. But she is one of the best people to Rome the earth 🌎. WE ALL MISS YOU SELENA❤

I would hate it if my boyfriend died, but I know he wouldn't want me to wander the rest of my life alone, and would be okay if I moved on... But, I can't imagine that at all. I would probably stay single for the rest of my life if he died. Moving on wouldn't happen for me...

Yes but it depends on the age. If I was 50 and my partner died maybe I wouldn't find anyone else. But if you're 16 well then, that's a different ball game 🏀

Years back.. I had a dream of Selena. It was a nice day and we were having a huge party in my backyard and under our big lemon tree Selena was performing. Everyone was having a great time. I then got some food and went to sit down at a picnic table..someone came and sat right by me and so I turned to look and it was Selena. She was crying and sad. I tried to comfort her and told her that everything will be okay. She started telling me "why? Why didn't he come?! Why didn't he protect me?!" And I asked her who? She said her Dad. My heart broke for her. She then took my hand and put it on her chest area and said it hurts. It hurts so much. I felt something and looked. It was a wound. Her gunshot wound which healed but left a scar. I hugged her and then woke up in tears. I went to tell my Mom of this dream that felt so real.

Having seen Chris and Selena perform before they married and then after and the three Tejano Music Awards backstage in 92, 93, and 94, I know Selena and Chris had an incredible relationship which everyone who knew them during the time he was playing with Selena y Los Dinos, knows Chris is very real and very human! I know he will never love anyone the way he did Selena! Every time I see him on video, it still makes me feel bad that such a tragedy happened. Deep within, I know he misses her but I also can see he celebrates her by sharing her music with others. Chris is a great musician but also an incredible human being! He has always been in my prayers since March 31, 1995 which also happens to be my Wedding Anniversary! Blessings to him and his family always!🙏
