How about we compare Selena to herself and not other Latin reggaeton artist. She’s not trying to be Becky G, or Karol G, she’s just Selena. Also if Selena really wanted to murder the Latin music market she really would, let’s not act like that’s not the case. There are not many chicanas in this game. I remember watching an interview when she was about 17 where she mentioned wanting to an all Spanish project because”my family would love it” “it’s my roots” I hope she does more going forward, and I hope she can gain your respect.

I think she put out a Spanish EP and not an album because she doesn’t want to be apart of that industry she just simply wanted to do it because it’s something she always wanted to do. Can we stop comparing two completely different artists. God it’s so annoying. I’m Mexican American & I can’t pronounce some words in Spanish as well & some of theses comments are annoying. Selena isn’t trying to be anyone but herself & I hope she keeps doing music if it’s in English or Spanish it don’t matter. In my opinion this Album is a masterpiece. I personally loved Revelación! For me it's a no skip EP. Being Mexican American myself I understand the judgement of not being fluent enough in Spanish but honestly I think she did amazing and you can tell the effort spent on this EP. Her along with Tainy did an amazing job with producing the tracks around her vocals you can hear the emotions she brought to each track. She has a unique breathy sexy tone to her voice and maybe regular reggaetton listeners aren't used to hearing her in Spanish.

I liked some songs regardless of not being a huge fan of her but she does have some really dope music. she’s a great artist. but this EP will do well regardless because of her name alone is one of the biggest names in music worldwide, everyone where I’m from all the locals are already raving about this Spanish music from her just because it’s her it’s crazy. I get it now what selena was talking about that people dont respect her music and take her seriously, like what the hell, its so disrespectful to say an artist is trying to be like someone and comparing them. Revelacion is a bomb. Demelo to is my favourite. Selena's voice in that one is fire. I have never heard selena singing like that. It's so sexy. You guys shouldn't compare her with other artists. It's awful.

I don't think she’s trying to be anyone. It’s her style. Each of her songs is different from one another. You should try to listen to her songs second or third time. You’ll like it more.

I'm not Latin, but i do listen to Latin Music. Well, miss Gomez released a fire & great Spanish project for a pop artist who's new in this type of music. Y'all have to realize that she was raised in ENGLISH POP but she carried this SPANISH EP amazingly.

You guys should react to her Revival album as well as her droplets if you guys haven’t heard them before!

I loved the project cause for a person that suffers from low self esteem and anxiety she felt so comfortable with Tainy to explore these sounds. I saw something on Spotify that said she had invested a lot of time trying to get the words as accurate as possible cause it was really important for her. She said she used to talk Spanish before 7 but after she started working she lost her confidence with it. My faves are vicio, adiós and selfish love. Buscando amor and Dámelo to doesn’t bother me even tho I’m Puerto Rican. I dance at least once a day with the EP overall. I wish she can do some collabs with BeckyG, Kali Uchis, Danna Paola and even explore more sound fusions with Natalia Lafourcade/Carla Morison, like a remix of buscando amor with one of the girls would be nice. For me it was a great start for her cause she’s been wanting to do a Spanish project for a long time now and singing in Spanish suits her.

How are you gonna react to her music and compare her to other artists like??? Also how do u fail to ignore she made a BANGING spanish EP without the stereotypical oversexualisation of women, sexism and vulgarity usually overused in this genre, both in her lyrics and her visuals! She DELIVERED and u can't tell me otherwise, and yes I'm latina

As a kpop fans I personally believe and think that Selena is indeed a great and brilliant artist. She has her own genre and as far as I know, I don't think she's trying to be other artists just like what yalls said. Besides, she did this EP to appreciate her heritage which is Mexican. Why don't some of us appreciate her the way she appreciates her heritage. She is such a sweet and kind singer. Plus, her singing is full with emotions. Whenever I listen to her, I can relate and feel her. Selena Gomez remain one of the best singer forever!!

I feel like the more you listen to the, the better it gets🤷‍♀️ She lacks confidence as a singer, but I think that this is really good for her first project in Spanish. I REALLY hope that she keeps going! And maybe ventures out into not only commercial music.

I personally love this EP. I am also Reggaeton fan, but a also a Selena Gomez fan but I also felt like she was playing it safe into the Spanish music, which is fine, EP can out solid. Although, I believe she should do more Spanish music, I really feel like she continue to soar. I do agree some songs are missing some thing, I don’t know what it is. y'all it really might be just because it's new, for you and for her. this is her first time really diving into spanish music on her career (she was doing a spanish record TEN YEARS ago, but she didn't feel 100% confident with it- she says she understands everything in spanish but isn't secure with speaking). the ones you liked better are more similar to her regular style in music, more pop with a touch of reggaeton so I just think it takes getting used to it. she definitely won't stop bc as I said this is something she has on her plans for about 10 years, this answers many of your questions during this and the other selena-spanish reactions. and yeah this decision of it being an EP instead of an album is a label decision, not hers, but she's fulfilling a very old dream, she's not trying to be anyone else. really like your reviews but maybe just take a deeper look at it before so you can understand it all better.

I wanted a more agreesive Selena on this I guess. But overall I liked most of it.

The album is really amazing !! i don't speak spanish but DAMN!! i keep repeating the songs!!!!!!

She has ways been insecure of speaking Spanish but she finally embraced her being Spanish so released an album and I'm here for it lol
