I thought stealing the car just meant being with someone she likes, and going to jail was the symbol for getting into a relationship (ie facing the consequences of being with that person). I feel like her relationships were expressed as "jail" because her fame constantly puts them under scrutiny (hence the wanted poster). Instead of getting into an official relationship she has to burn the bridge with the person she likes (ie stop riding with them) to avoid the consequences (like scandals, represented by the wanted poster) that can affect both.

Yeah, for me the guy biting the apple symbolised cheating/betrayal, perhaps based on religious symbolism. my theory: this video is about a couple, where selena loves the guy so much that keeps going back to him even though she knows she is going to end up heartbroken.. everyone seems to be confused by the 'you kinda look like selena gomez' part.That just shows how the guy, doesn't seem to care about his partner ,that he didn't even notice such obvious thing.. the faces that Selena is making in the middle of the video are representing the emotional rollercoaster of this relationship.. but in the end Selena keeps coming back to him and their toxic relationship..which is the whole point of the video and the song..hope I helped you!

This is so smart.
