Wow!! Just wow!! Great arrangement and really good playing. Has the sharp edges and weird sounds of the original as well as the dynamic power of modern instruments. Fantastic to listen to.

Wonderful performance! These youth are very talented and they have a great conductor. And what a pleasant surprise to see Carl Grapentine (host at 98.7 WFMT in Chicago) as the MC.

Very, very nice :) A very large Band, by Susato's standards, but you did it Proud !! I really liked the Focus you all brought to this... everyone was on top of their Part, and it really shows.

@Darkwolf57 If you think this is large you should have seen my band when played it. For some reason we play this every year for winter commencement (at a college) as part of the pre-ceremony set list. Depending on the year we would typically have between 100 and 120 players. However, it was the remnants of the marching band hence why it was so large. We were also playing in our football stadium so the larger numbers helped us fill the space. This is a great performance. Makes me miss playing.

Very nice indeed! A very faithful rendition of Susato's music circa 1520. One can almost visualise King Henry VIII feasting and dancing at Greenwich Palace as the musicians play. It would have been nicer to play the music on replica early modern instruments (Krumhorn, regal, saker, dulcimer, tromba marina, lute) as the music does lose a little of the feel when modern instruments are used.

I really love your idea of using replica early instruments, and I hope you will buy them for the school and fund the tuition by appropriately qualified experienced teachers.

King Henry VIII knew nothing of it. It was the Count of Flanders later the Spanish King Charles V who was born in 1500 as the eldest son of Philip the Handsome and Joanna of Castile at the Prinsenhof in the Flemish city of Ghent,
