Try to see this way... why do people watch movies? why do people watch sports? why do people watch rgv interviews? why do people look up to psychologists, scientists, etc? because they represent better use of intellectual ability or physical ability. If one clearly understands this, he or she wudn't have too much interest to spend time with people around, and wud focus on what better he/she can do using her/his assets (intelligence, energy, etc), and once in a while look up to achievers to learn and to get inspired But majority doesn't have the interest nor passion nor perseverance to enhance their lives using their assets. Such people become the sheep. Such people do timepass, participate in gossip discussions, companionship (as RGV said in this talk), etc. And majority people feel insecure to live alone, feel fearful to go against status quo. If one feels lonely he can not live alone. If one is totally ok to be alone, only then he can. To achieve anything significant in life one has to save time and energy and only alone people have a chance to try that. So, even if 1 million people watch this video and all of them 100% accept and agree with what RGV said, very very few people would've the GUTS and CLARITY to implement in their lives Divorce rate is lesser in a developing country like india than elsewhere because majority doesn't have solid goals in life, majority like to adhere to the status quo. Every one compromise in their life whether it is in their profession(with Bosses or subordinates ) or with family members without which they can't get what they would like to gain or achieve in life. However, if one of the partner feels he/she is compromising more than what he/she is gaining from the partnership/marriage the disturbance sets in that causes divorce eventually. The circumstances in which one is raised, the financial independence, cultural and societal influences determine how you do your calculations which determines the outcome
