@@ane6183 I’m not the artist, so I don’t know if it was on purpose. But they are parallel. I think it’s a more interesting to see them as connected. It’s plausibly intentional, given the artist is a professional storyboarder and the importance SU in paving the way for SheRa’s queerness.

I love how the purple is always there. Even when fighting, they still held on to each other, they still loved each other, they have their whole lives, when fighting as teens and as adults, when catra died, when she was revived, when adora gave up. every scene, every shot had it at some point, and when it wasn't there, they were reaching for eachother. I love this animatic so much

Ngl when she started to crack I actually teared up and then Carr’s yelled “Adora!!” I couldn’t hold it in and now I’m crying but 10/10 I loved it

Catra was right in the end, it wasn't because she liked her. It was because she loved her.

My favorite detail is that even after they're both purple, Adora is still lined and blue and Catra is still lined in red. Really shows how they're still their own people, even after they came together.

Gonna be honest here, I thought the song was gonna be colors by Halsey but this is still awesome, I loved that at the end they were both purple

I've been in love with all this she ra stuff and this is just so GORGEOUS, like the detail, the purple when they touch each other you, the backgrounds, JUST EVERYTHING AHH

Now I need to hug whoever did those drawings. No matter if is a man or woman, no matter if they are straight, gay, lesbian, bi, I don't care: they deserve my hugs. And my tears on their shoulders!

Sometimes when a show has a certain feeling towards me, I can't watch it over. It feels like it has to be a one time thing. When a show has a lot of emotions in the charectors, it makes it more easy to connect with them for me,when it has a lot of emotional rollercoasters, it gives u a type of feeling that u can't feel again. She-ra was a type of show that was emotional and gave me emotions that we're so different to me, it was a one type feeling. That's how great She-ra is.

It's kinda funny, how your mabifica animatic was a comfort thing to me when I was first coping with the fact that I wasn't straight. I came to it often, because if something so beautiful could come out of women loving women, I could be too. Now 3 years later, completely confident in my sexuality, in my body, in myself, you return, bringing me something beautiful. Thank you :)

Totally agree with you. Though, it's very interesting that, in the show, both Catra and Adora (and pretty much everyone) defy the lines of feminine/masculine in their own ways. In some ways, Catra is more féminine. But in other ways, it is Adora who is more feminine.

Honestly while watching the show I always felt like adora was the masculine one lol and catra was the more feminine one plus their main colors in the show is blue for adora and red for catra

I absolutely adore what u did with them touching getting purple and in the end they are completely purple it's such a beautiful metaphor, the whole thing shows their relationship so good omg I'm so happy now

This is a great representation of the entire relationship between Catra and Adora throughout She-ra and the princesses of power. From friends to enemies, to back to being friends, to being lovers, Catra and Adora have had a rough relationship, but it was nice for them to be a couple in the end after everything they have been through separately and together.

I hope I’m not the only one who wants more seasons or a movie of this to continue the magic being restored to the other planets in the universe.

I get - I completely get! - the sentiment. But I don't want anything else on Catra's and Adora's story. What else would they (N.D., whoever else made up the creative team) do after this? The end of SPOP was perfect, within their constraints (time, buget, etc) and anything outside this through-line would just be a let-down; I WANT them to just go away and be happy, to have (to paraphrase a rather different animated heroine) "the most mundane, slice-of-life future ever - and it'll be awesome." Happy lives, however, make for lousy stories. (All that said, doing a completely independant "Mara versus the Machine" series would probably have some merit.)

It’s just meant to be symbolic. That they’re finally not separated anymore but can be united as one. As far as I know, the purple is not referenced in the show.

And when the music when accapella it spoke volumes as to how silent and alone adora felt in that moment and then hearing catra call out to her...... you my friend are a master at audio and image senscory triggers. ( i know the word 'triggers' is often seen as a nrgative term, but im not using it that way in this case. Im simply implying how you elict strong emotions from audio and visual effects) This is truely imaculent! ( idk how to spell that). As someone who heavily hyperfixates on colour coding to represent not only characters themselves, but also those characters states of mind, THE OURPLE AND THE GREY TURNING TO BLUE ACTUALLY HAS ME SOBBING YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME

Everything about this was incredible! The animation, the music, the colors 😩😭😍

This makes so much sense once you consider how much they helped each other grow in S5. Catra learned to be more selfless (her saving Glimmer, jumping into fire for Adora, trying to protect the best friend squad on Krytis by pushing them out of harm's way and tackling Melog, her staying with Adora at the heart, coming with them to Arxia despite Shadow Weaver being with them just to keep Adora safe). Catra stopped blaming other people for her issues and face them on her own (ex: her working through her anger and apologizing, showing she no longer blames Adora for things, recognizing that it wasn't on Adora to protect her from Shadow Weaver). Honestly, for such little time, her character arc was written very well. And when you see the timeskip vision Adora had, you notice how much Catra's behaviour has changed. She extends her hand to Adora and her gaze is so warm and gentle. This improvement in S5 was the beginning. I'd love to see a She-Ra movie where we get to see who Catra has become, because it's obvious she has worked hard to get there. Adora learned that her choices matter. Catra made her realize what she wanted, other than to be a selfless hero and a soldier. All her time from S1 to S4, Adora constantly did whatever she was asked and put herself in danger numerous times. She did what the ideal hero was supposed to do, but it wasn't herself. She wasn't happy. When you see Bow and Glimmer so surprised she headed off on her own in the heart, you realize they did not know that part of her. They didn't take Adora's own feelings or opinions into consideration, didn't realize this wasn't what she wanted. Catra was the only one who could see that and reach out to her. She was the key to Adora's inner desires and hopes, which in the end saved her life. When Catra left during Failsafe, she was trying to protect Adora by removing distractions for her. She asked Adora what she wanted and was the first person to ever do so. And when Adora begged her to stay, she realized in that moment what she wanted for herself. She wanted to be loved. That was the first time in the series we see her actually asking for something she wanted. You see how harmful their blue and red can be on their own. But when they're purple? They're so happy. They're balanced and so warm. It would be so amazing to see the purple couple again, with all that they've worked upon.
