A 38 mm skx case with 22mm lugs would look stupid. Proportionally the lugs should be half the case width plus 2mm to look right and to keep the skx look but downsized.

There were 42mm and 38mm SKX models. SKX013 had a 38mm case with 20mm lugs. SKX007 and 009 had the 42 or 42.5mm case with 22mm lugs.

You can still get the SRPE75, which is the 42.5mm case, similar dial and 22mm lugs. This was clearly meant to be a small Seiko 5 SKX tribute watch
