It is like an encyclopedia of mostly affordable watches. I also highly appreciate the content.

I love the Save the Ocean versions. Not only because of what they stand for, but those dials. Man! I bought the King Samurai STO "Dark Blue Manta Ray" just the other day, and it's next level compared to the other Samurai's with the aluminium bezel inserts. The ever so subtle manta rays, only show up under the right light as does the wave pattern. So it's not "in your face". The "Happy Feet" will end up in my collection also, at some point. 🥰 Thanks again Rob, for yet another great vid! 👊

Ordered one yesterday since I’ve been contemplating getting one for the better part of 3 months. Super glad I got it since they don’t make them starting next week (2022). 10% off, gets here next week. By far one of the best watch designs ever.

The marker ring hugs every minute marker. Of all my seikos this is the one with the most intricate design.

Got this as my second Seiko after my sea urchin, has some serious wrist presence.

That dial really is cool.

At least the bezel is properly aligned on your watch, doesnt happen too often nowadays with the Sieko Prospex wathces. Great rewiev and a georgous frosty blue dial on this one!

I like the Tuna with this dial.

I love this watch. I was a little surprised with the bezel action, mine is pretty good but that could be some of the QC issues we know affects Seiko. That dial is just fabulous though

If you've owned enough Seikos you will know that variation in bezel from watch to watch (even the same model) is tremendous. Bezel action has nothing to do with the model.

Ice chickens lol. I do like the very subtle footprints (no pun intended) Seiko leave on the various save the ocean and other dials. They are subtle enough that if you like them, you can see them, but if you don't, you won't.

Those my 2nd seiko,just got on last August..use to wear large size but when put monster on my wrist damn it's really nice.. lucky to have one of STO penguin..but I've change to rubber strap...

Just picked this watch up off of eBay new for $313! Excited to receive it next week, the dial looks fantastic :)

Prices are going up on this one and most AD can't get any stock on this winner.

I’ve got the baby tuna and it’s so nice!!! My first watch as a watch nerd lol freaking in love!!! I paid 550 plus tax so six hundred easy. But I couldn’t be more happy with the watch. I have found them for about 100 dollars cheaper.

What is it with Seiko and their continuous QC issues? My Tissot does not have a misaligned bezel, nor does my £15 plastic Casio.

Welcome to the monster gen4 club. I love my padi monster. For this Antarctica version, I am surprised they used the green, instead of blue lume. Oh well.

I have the Padi edition of this Gen 4 monster and I love the watch, but the bezel action is disappointing. I will still be getting this Antarctic version though, it’s sooo cool.

But is it worth $450 when it comes with the R436 and no sapphire?

Also, it looks dynamite on a padded sailcloth strap i got from watch gecko.

Very nice new design except for the date day window. I think having just the date is enough. The lume is somewhat less than the ususal Seiko standard though. I hope it is not an indication of things to come.

This was my first monster and absolutely love it got mine brand new for $440 plus tax on eBay.

That's a decent price, but I just got a "J" model from a U.S. authorized dealer for $393 (May 2022). I like the words "Made in Japan" on my Seiko dials even if it's meaningless and the "K" models are "just as good".

Rob, in the lume part ALL of your watches were synchronized. I've never seen that before. 9:32. And then at 10:00 Was that a fluke? Or did you synch all of them

I just got this. Personally for me….i dont like it..regret my choice. I own two seikos one new Alpinist and one Lordmatic. I am dissapointed in the quality of seiko. The bezel aligns thank god but everything just feels cheap. I paid like 525 for it. Shoulda got the Longines i wanted instead. Now gotta try and sell the seiko now.

I just bought my 1st one used from a guy off Watch u Seek and if it not for a smoking deal I would still be without a Seiko in my collection because the QC issues that I constantly hear about. I got a 3 month old SBDC111 FOR $ 775.00 and that was too tempting to resist.

Would fit Jay Leno and his denim outfits! ;)

Yo rob! 7 months since the last video about a monster 😆 whats wrong with seiko? When will they finally give us the 5th gen "king" monster with sapphire crytal, no cyclops, framed datewindow, classic case design (1st to 3rd gen) and hopefully orange and yellow dials! 🤞🤞🤞🤞

The yellow is $680 on Amazon.

The bezel action on my Happy Feet is also the worst of any Seiko I have ever owned lol. Dial is super fun though. Lume seems weaker on mine as well

I added thick oil where the bezel touches the case. To make it sound better 😂 I also have the first gen monster and the red Dracula..they sound better.

WOW. A fitted end link that actually looks like it was made for the watch! Not just Seiko, but many do a poor job of this.

Just got a non Japan model for £375, Bezel action is fine, Blue lume would have been cool. Those collars and pins though...

I like the 20mm all round I think it looks better

I want a monster but not sure if I want to pay price for new one. There are new islanders the orange color one is real nice with a better bracelet and sapphire glass. Oh and I don't like the date magnifier

Not a fan of date magnifiers either, luckily they are pretty simple to remove, lot's of KZread videos on the subject.

You can find grey market deals all day long.

Has anyone purchased on Mimo Jewel? Site says no returns & refunds.hmmm

Many times. He does returns if product is new. If it has been altered or worn then it would be a warranty not a return. Mimo is the man and very reasonable

The problem is that you see microbrands providing better specs for 1/3 of the price. Let's say a sapphire crystal costs Seiko $30 at their cost. Just bump the price up to $550 and us watch nerds would be happy. I LOVE that watch, but I refuse to pay $525 for a watch with Hardlex crystal. Every single Hardlex crystal I've had ends up scratched. And unlike acrylic, I cannot easily remove the scratches.

I love your reviews, but it's wrong to state that discounts are gone today. The market is much more competitive compared to when the first monsters came out. Microbrands are offering much better values these days, and hardlux crystals are really obsolete. It's not a big ask for a $500 watch to have a sapphire crystal in 2022. That all being said, I'll probably still buy the watch...cause I'm a sucker for cool Seikos.

I am a buyer as well, discounts are drying up. Brands are controlling them. So it’s not wrong for me to say facts of the industry I know.

Your bezel sounds horrible. Honestly sounds nothing like mine. Maybe your bezel was defective from the factory? This is one of my favorite Seiko’s.

Stil 4r36 that is in most watch.

I showed wife the penguin feet.. Now wife wants a snoopy feet..

Love the dial, love the "real" monster steel bezel, hate the stupid candy bar magnifier.

I gave up on sizing this pin & collar. Gonna have to take it in. Worst design imo. Wish it was screw down or that other collar type. Im glad i got it i know itll be gone in few years

-35 to +45 spd accuracy and hardlex crystal, not for me guys.

“Happy feet” ? Wow you guys are really running out of names for these monsters Now people name them after weird cartoons from last decade?

The 3rd gen was quality construction and it had a 6r movement for around this price. Total ripoff and poorly made.

I couldn't stand hearing that cheap bracelet rattling ...

Overpriced watches.
