The 313 is great looking. Although I love the 62MAS line, I would pick the 313 over the 213. Thanks for talking about the weight differences. That's definitely a point in favor of the 313, and not something I had really seen discussed before. I wish I was in your part of the country so I could come in and try the 313 on. I've tried the SPB143 on, and really liked it over even the SPB151 and the newer MM200 series.

313 is a better looking watch rather than 213 imo

I have the same size wrist thx. The 313 seems like it might be the goldilocks, just right size.

313 case shape is not even close. Very niche look, whereas the 213 is a classic. Specs never beat design.

It’s very subjective, but the 213’s conventionality, as you’ve pointed out, is why I prefer the 313. It has such a Japanese feel whereas the 213 is much safer.

Was not a fan of the 313's bracelet at first but it sure is light... The watch is very light on the wrist, it feels like you are not wearing anything.

Curious if the clasp on the 313 will fit the 213. IMO that's the weakest link of the 213. Thanks for the comparison!

Depends how hard you wear your watch, but generally speaking I'd say yes.

True….but this bracelet on the 62mas is actually pretty good. My only contention is with the end links and that horrible dive extension, the clasp itself is decent.

I put a uncle seiko bracelet of mine, It Tapers down to 16 mm , Looks real cool. 🕗 ✌🏻

I don't care for the rounded date window. To me it looks like an afterthought. Would've been better if it was just dateless. Overall though I love the SPB look better. I have the 143 and had the 213 before selling and they are very good watches and look fantastic.

Personally I feel the opposite. The lume at the 3 position is a new ISO requirement. The 143 had the date at the 3 with no lume until ISO standards changed and Seiko started adding the tiny lume marker cut into the chapter ring, which seems to be an afterthought. Having full lume markers with the date at 430 seems to be the best way to deal with the new ISO standards and keep a date window.

Why did you decide to keep the 143 and sell the 213? Im debating between the two

Should have just left off the date on the 313, but it’s not a deal breaker.

I saw one in person recently and the date was quite unobtrusive. As someone who generally dislikes date windows it wasn’t bad at all.

I can't stand not having a date on a daily, so this is perfect IMO.

If they put a date, the cvnts will say, remove the date, if they don't, they will say, needs a date.
