Have you noticed any issues with premature battery wear/drain due to this unit?

I got one very similar- also with 2 USB cables to plug in to the back of the unit. Why 2? And do I need both?

Did you have to solder some wire to set dimmer working?

I have the same unit, for your audio - you can adjust the bass/ equalization. it will sound better afterwards.

How did you get yours to connect? I have a galaxy also, and mine keeps telling me through easy connection to connect to the USB when its connected already. Also when I open easy connection and hit navigation it tells me to use carplay on my phone .. I tried reaching out to seicane but they weren't any help besides having me send them videos of what steps I took 😭

How is the radio doing? I have read good and bad reviews of the seicane stuff. I have looked at belsee as well. Just wanted to check in and see how it has been for you all.

@AimlessMoto, I have a Honda CR-V 2014\2015 model that has the old Gracenote head unit I was trying to get a map update but that's going to cost me £300, yes I'm in the UK, but it would only update it to 2018 so I'm best replacing it so was wondering how that system was.

Thx for your video. I bought a different display...it might be the same but different brand. I stubble at one problem. Binding the buttons to the steering wheel works great from the start but after a while or restart of the vehicle the steering wheels volume buttons + and - goes to just - or +. Have you experience this as well? I might have solve this problem...I'm not sure yet

There are videos online, but there is a section under "car controls" in the menu that you can find "steering wheel controls" when you select "volume up" you then push the volume up on the steering wheel and it learns it.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. So my device uses the memory cable (yellow) so it never boots after the first time. Does yours boot every time or is it instant on like mine? My concern is it will eventually drain my battery...

Instant on! Hasn't hurt anything in the month it's been in there so far. The stock radio uses a bit of battery keeping the clock running anyway.

You can ask the seller for the factory settings code or whatever it’s called for advanced settings. You can modify all kinds of stuff in there including the sleep mode

How's the sound on these units, I've heard you need some type of amplifier? Honest opinion and do you think it was was worth it or way better then factory radio?

The sound honestly isn't too bad. You need to play with the equalizer a lot, but all-in-all it's pretty powerful.

1. How is the mic with phone calls? Do people hear you ok? 2. Since you probably don't have a backup camera yet you may not know, does the rear camera immediately work even if Android hasn't booted? 3. How long does it stay on sleep mode? If I work all day and start the car do I have to wait for it to boot, if so how long does that take? Pro tip, if you want to use Android auto or apple carplay just purchase a " carplay USB dongle" it works well.

1. Good! Very clear. 2. I have since put in a backup cam, it pops right up as android is booting in the background. 3. Sleep mode? Havent used it. No real need to. If the car is on and we're driving, the radio is on. It boots up immediately when you start the car... within seconds. Continues in whatever you had playing when you shut off the car. We dont care about android/apple blah blah... we wanted Nav in the dash, MP3 playability, hands free phone, and backup cam. And for those... it is pretty perfect!

It senses the high signal (12V) from the reverse lamp so I think you can just hook it up to a 12V supply so it will be ON always lol.

Just got one of these headunits, do you know how to connect a subwoofer amp? I used 2 auxiliary cables on my last radio but this one is different

You may have to route those to an amp and then to a sub, I don't think the head-unit has enough power to run anything over 50w.

question for steering wheel controls! i didn’t buy the PAC SWC module. do you know which color wires are the SWC ones on the factory harness? i plan to posi-tap them (not cut, mortal sin!) to the KEY1/2 on my cheap amazon carplay stereo harness. i think i have an idea based on the colors, gonna test a few of them to manually figure it out thanks in advance, happy holidays bud!!!!🎄🎅

For the 2 years we had it in the car it never had an issue!

I just got mine and the only thing not working is steering wheel controls. Did you do anything special to get yours working? I have a Civic 2014 ex... Was it easy registering it with the app? Trying to see if it is a connection issue or a app issue

You have to turn them on in "Car Settings" then go to the "Learn" function. Then you select the function in the radio, then press the button on the steering wheel.

@@AimlessMoto hmm yeah I tried that for hours and it never worked... So sad, I need that function. They sent me the wrong wiring harness so I had to buy a new harness and I guess my steering wheel controls don't work. I even connected the cables directly

This video was insanely helpful. I also have a 2011 CRV with OEM GPS. No bluetooth so I want to upgrade as well. Hope you don't mind if I ask because this device is really intriguing. 1. Has the sound quality improved? Compared to stock, how does it sound now? 2. Can your wife still use GPS on Google Maps when there is no internet like on the road? Does she hotspot or will it still work offline? 3. How about Sirius XM, does that work well?

Once I turned the rear volume control off (which mine doesnt have) and moved the equalizer 1 click to the rear the radio sounds great. The hotspot connection works great. It will connect via my house Wifi as well... i was parked too far away from my router. I do not subscribe to XM. But the preview channel comes in clear as a bell.

So after 2 years how is it holding..?

Great! We sold it with the car this past September... but the radio was still crisp, responsive, and easy to use!

I just put this same radio in my CR-V. This video was a huge resource for how to install it! Have you done much to customize yours yet? How do you add/change the launcher or add/change widgets on the home screen? Can you change the color of the button backlights? How do you delete apps, like "live wallpaper"? It would be awesome if you had some time to make and update/how-to-use video!

Its in my wifes car, I'll have to steal it for a weekend and do an update. So far the only thing we customized is the layout, widget apps from the app store and some backgrounds from the Zedge app. No way to change the backlight without dismantling and changing the Leds.

Looks pretty cool, questions is are they producing for Honda only or a wide variety of automobiles? Would be nice to see on more auto's but that might become costly for them but with a pack made for individual auto's might make for more sales. Looks as though this was predestined for the Honda.

Useless make of head unit Secaine are the worst unit you can buy no instructions how to wire it up and no instructions on how the system actually works ,and don't try to get in touch with Secaine after sales service they are total rubbish avoid avoid avoid this make of unit .

it seems that you just ignored the audio plug in, many of them just hang under the unit, is that ok? or you plug in them (red, yellow, white colors plug in) to somewhere? i would like to buy one, but now i worry about the wiring. thanks a million!

Most of those leads are labeled - and are for add ons, like amplifiers, CD changers, etc. Most people won't need them with a CR-V

It's a foreign software, so it's OK... park it close to your house and update it via wifi and the maps will be up to date.

Well I have done lots of research and I found out that this company truly sucks in after sale, apparently of units stop working within few month and there are lots of complain about them, and their customer service refuse to do any action.

I have had excellent luck with this unit so far, and they sent me a new GPS antenna within 2 weeks. Some people get angry because its a direct from China company.

@@stomper244 I actually didn't buy that from them, I heard lots of negative reviews about the units, I thought why spend $150 plus another $60 on shipping to get that unit , I spent another $120 and I got a Boss Unit with Apple car play, it has 1 year real warranty, if you buy it from Amazon 3 years. Boss BVCP9675A don't get me wrong I am not denying the reviewer had a good experience but with Chinese built units you are risking your money. it might turn out to be a bad unit then you will end up paying for shipping again to china and again get a replacement if they are nice enough to honor their warranty period. Chinese usually don't honor their Warranty. and believe me they are not going to pay for return shipping. by the way before making my decision I have tried reaching out to them to ask couple of questions and they bothered to answer in thee weeks, if their sales is that slow their warranty support team would be much slower. if you wanna good deal for the BOSS unit, you can reach out to Sonicelectronix. They will give you the suitable double din dash unit as well. and 30$ worth of free gears and connections. also they will help you install it if you have any problems. I rather pay a little extra and get something that works.
