I'm 150 lbs and my work is 3.7 miles away. I think this will get me to work. Gas is $6 now in California.

It should work great. But bring your or buy an extra charger for home and work just to keep it topped off.

Ha ha. Bigger tires are definitely recommended for you. I used this one in LA a little and it was doable for short distances. Sidewalks and some squirrelly bits but very useful to find parking and zip back and forth for errands and a bite to eat.

I've got one, There great on flat ground! But when it comes to any diverts or holes in ground it can be a bit problematic. Nice looking design though and has lasted me 6 months so far.

Nice. It can be a bit bumpy with the small tires. I took mine to LA a few days ago and it performed perfectly. Kept it plugged in and stored in the trunk. Popped it out for to and from work and shit from boomtown brewery to run for ramen in little Tokyo. Very useful.

I've got one on order. Do you have a 12v car charger for it or are you using an inverter plus the supplied AC wall adapter?

I have a converter that keep in the car to plug in various battery chargers. This work perfectly with the Segway in my trunk and my cargo net to keep it from rolling around.

How tall are you? I’m keen to get this, but I’m getting so many mixed reviews. The reviews don’t seem to match what I’m looking at, unless there’s a new version compared to the reviews in 2020.

I am about 5”10 and 190 lbs. it’s definitely not the biggest sturdiest scooter available. But for cost, portability and ease of use this one is exactly what I needed. Otherwise I would have trouble taking my scooter around and easily throwing it in my trunk. All the other e scooters I looked at were bigger and folding styles had a larger footprint that would not be possible use as easily while traveling and take up more necessary space in my trunk during trips. I have a link in the description to the Segway Amazon store where it’s currently on sale.

It’s varies greatly with temp, terrain, grade and weight. I’ve gotten about 3-5 miles consistently with my commute uphill both ways. I weight about 185 and wear a backpack with camera gear and a laptop.

Bumpy. 🤭 It’s not the best on rough terrain. I believe it has a get injected in the tires that is supposed to help. But being that it is solid rubber the ones with bigger air inflatable tires are more comfortable. But there is no danger of a flat at high speeds. My neighbor crashed and broke his arm on his when his front tire popped at speed on another scooter brand. Pros and cons.

This varies greatly depending on weight, grade and temperature. But typically I get about 3-4 miles on average when I used it to commute. Full speed, uphill both ways(there is a bridge in the middle) rain or shine with a backpack and various camera equipment, laptop etc. @segway definitely knows how to build them.
