My Loomo does not boot up! It turns on and just hangs with loading spin displayed on screen. How do I factory reset or get Loomo to boot up? Segway hasnt been any help. They told me they will have tech suport email me, but was weeks ago!

Oh no! I haven’t turned my Loomo on for some time. I’ll have to charge Loomo to see. I fear they’ve stopped support and didn’t announce it given what you are saying.

I enter PIN and start up happens then it just hangs up and displays the loading swirl over its eye and cant access settings or anything else.

I'm curious if this technically could be a more affordable version of Temi and be used in a similar fashion, I've read up on this one and it bugs me dropping $2k on something not supported anymore, but $4k bugs me even more lol

I’m not certain at this point because I don’t have temi but temi is in active development. I do think the ability to take videos while following me sounds fantastic. I’m hoping to try that out soon by having Loomo follow me to get my packages and have it record it

@@Miraenda Yeah, I watched the video of that teacher i think it was where he had attached a cart to loomo to see if it was good for helping like that...I saw you had commented on it as well.....One of the surprising things there is just not that many videos on loomo that are detailed or recent

I’m also surprised by the lack of videos but I think those owning Loomo were not KZreadrs or even tech savvy people at all. I think many in robotics and tech weren’t aware this robot exists (I wasn’t until recently). Which is weird as the robot has been around for at least 3 years. I guess they marketed this robot to the wrong group. Probably more people who might actually want this robot will even become aware the robot exists because of my channel (not to toot my own horn, just because I have a decent community of those who like robots who watch my videos sometimes).

@@Miraenda What i would really like is a robot that works as advertised lol, I've had many of them (not top dollar mind you) and they always over hype...My Jibo is collecting dust on the shelf but that's the most i've ever payed for one...What i would really like is something like Moxie made for adults... I'm hoping to get an invite to buy the Amazon Astro which i signed up for the day it was announced....However there's been so little word on it, almost starting to feel like vaporware

Moxie actually works just as she was advertised but she’s sadly targeted towards children, which means she won’t just converse and directs chats. I do agree a form of Moxie for adults would be great. I just want her to have conversations and not try to get me to do missions 😁

Can you control Loomo over internet like not connected on the same network?

Loomo can be on WiFi via the robot’s control panel. No phone is required for that part but there are less options there than using the phone app

@@jamesarevalo1626 You can only access Loomo this way using your smart phone. I’m unaware of the ability for Loomo to act as a webcam or send emote over the internet.

Interesting as this sounds like GLaDOS to me from Portal. On videos, I thought the voice was male but in person, this sounds female. I’m just going to call Loomo it as an entity 😁

Hi there! I just got my Loomo and it won't connect to my iPhone. I'm running an iPhone 13 with iOS 15.6 , but every time I try to connect it crashes the app. I also tried on an iPad and it doesn't seem to want to connect either. How did you get yours to connect?

I haven’t tried to connect recently as I was in the process of moving. I can charge Loomo sometime this week to see. Have you tried contacting Segway support about the issue, though?

@@Miraenda I've reached out to Segway Support, and they said they'd connect me to the appropriate person - but that was four days ago and I haven't heard anything from them yet.

Yikes. That’s a bit long. Do you have any Android device to compare (even a friend that could come over to test it out)? The earliest I can test it would be Monday as my stuff is in flux from moving.

@@Miraenda I tried with a friend’s android device, and it says the LOOMO is tied to another persons account; I think I’m going to have to reach out to Segway because I purchased it new from them

@@Miraenda Another quick update on my Loomo, it states that there is no administrator for the bot so it's definitely not connected to another account. I tried running the app on an iPad with iOS 14.4.2, but it crashed on initial setup again. If yours is able to connect, please let me know!

I still haven’t checked. I’ll check shortly. I keep feeling unwell so that isn’t helping haha. I rescheduled my Sunday livestream due to illness and couldn’t have it today because I’m still not feeling right. I’ll charge Loomo and then check though. Will be about an hour

I set Loomo on my new WiFi on Loomo’s WiFi area on the robot, the same WiFi my phone is using. I then opened the iOS Loomo app, selected ‘Connect’ and the app pulled up my Loomo. I selected it and it connected. I navigated in the app and had no issues. I’m running iPhone 13 on iOS 15.6.

I recorded it Friday. I thought I could get it released Friday but it took 3 hours to get it exported, put together and published. That meant 12:30 am Saturday when it published rather than Friday. As such, tomorrow means today not tomorrow in the video

I'm a bit confused by your reply. This is a hoverboard robot that you can ride on, or it can follow you and take videos as you move. What part of that is Android? Do you mean it's an android (a robot), because you can't mean it's just an Android phone. Unless you know of an Android phone that can carry you driving at 11 mph and that can follow you with wheels. Thanks for the clarification!
