Segway c80 is a specialized product. Not all products work for everyone. I’ve owned one for a year now and I’m a really happy customer. If you research the c80 family of products available in china, you’ll realize that the c80 is just a test product in the US. Getting Dept of Transportation certification in the US is actually quite tuff. To stay under the radar, an ebike must have a motor less powerful than 1kw (equal or less than 49cc) and petals to be allowed in the bike lane. Segway has a more powerful cousin called the E 100 that you’d have to have a license with a motorcycle endorsement to ride in the US. Segway makes many cousin products of the C80. All of this is to say, don’t buy it if it isn’t for you as it has only very specialized use cases. Prefect for taking a nephew to the park. Perfect for picking up the mail. Perfect for hitting up a neighborhood restaurant. Even going up steep hills, it will carry a 200 lbs American (me) up a 15% grade. Sure, it bogs down to 2-3 mph but, that is part of the trade off with a governed motor capped at max 20 mph. It’s made for lackadaisical cruising in the bike lane without even feigning interest in exercise. It would be a nice accessory to an RV as a secondary mode of leisurely exploring a new place in utter comfort. The type of quiet scooter you take to get a soft serve ice cream. GREAT COMMENT! Love your input and yes. I wish I was more active with the outdoor nature cause a secondary vehicle for camping would be a perfect way to use it. Thanks for the comment. I use it almost every day but just wish I put it to work for more.

Yes thank you for this video!!! I’ve had the C80 for almost two months now and I use it for food delivery. That same complaint about speed has been my only complaint also. I wish there was a way to get past that. Thanks for the vid man!!

No way! That's a good way to use it but yeah man. Faster speed would be way better for us to enjoy in the streets. Glad I wasn't the only one thinking this. Thanks for watching Michael!

That’s the unfortunate part. It doesn’t at the moment. I’ve talked with a Segway rep and he said hopefully later they’ll be able to have more replacement parts available.

Can you show how to attach the basket? I’ve got the b110s. Don’t know if it possible to attach the basket from c80 to b110s. They look pretty similar

How do I modify it to get 40-50mph and how much would upgrade cost??

Where did you get the back seat and front basket from

Is there anything that can be done to improve torque on hills? I got rid of my E-bike for a Vespa because it was just too slow and almost unusable on any kind of hill. If you can't take it anywhere but on flat roads and can't keep up with traffic, it's not worth it.

What storage basket is that one. I need one for my Moped

I have the c80, I've had it close to a month. I love this thing!! I use to get to work and back , pick up small groceries, milk, egg and small thing like that, I use the bike lane most of the time and use the pedals so it looks like an electric bike. Where did you get that extra seat?, I want to but one so I can drop my siblings off at their class

How did you get the accessories for the moped? Like the seat and the basket.

I got them for free on indiegogo. I heard they planned on selling it later but with this whole back order stuff, im not sure!

It has the ideal form factor IMO. But I prefer something less plasticky and a tad faster. I like Tesla-style features, but would prefer them under my complete control. Thanks.

Love the look of the C80 but the lack of power for going up hill was a huge negative for me since all my grocery stores are up a grade.

Too late now since You return already, but eBay sell them about $50 per item

There are 2more ways to open the seat if you lose the physical key. Do you know them?

Oh. I thought I demonstrated it in the video but yes. One is in the app and the other is by holding the break and pushing the "on" button.

These are crap. Buyer beware. I bought 2 of them. Have less than 10 miles on them and have had a bad charger (took 3 months to replace) and now a bad battery. Still waiting for help on the battery and it too has been about 3 months. I do understand new product item failures. But its the Segway service. There is none. It takes begging to anyone associated with Segway to get some kind of help. I really hate the fact I spent so much money on them to most likely end up in the garbage dump next riding season. Others on the Segway C80 Facebooks groups have similar horror stories.
