the ghetto avc1 codec youtube decided to use for my video is clearly causing an extreme loss of quality every 3 or 4 seconds or so might re-upload at 2x the resolution to see if that fixes the problem really frustrating :\

@@MrThunderwing well,this is a 992x768 file and i didn't upscale it at all so,increasing the resolution x2 would turn it into a 1984x1536 video in other words,1440p / 2k aka would get the vp9 treatment i ran some tests with another account and,yes,i did end up getting the vp9 beauty treatment

@@FranThirdStrike Yeah, all my upscaled 4K vids get VP9ified. It's just really annoying that recently all the times I've done this though, none of the non 4K options are showing up on the video, meaning people with slow Internet connections are having trouble buffering them.

このぐらいのカジュアルな感じの方が面白い 今のガチガチのリアル系ラリーゲームは楽しさより苦行してるようで、全くプレイしなくなったw

雪ステージで積雪状況によってハンコンの反力が変わるのに感動したなあ。深雪路に入るとスコーンと軽くなって。当時は本当に新鮮だった

古谷 徹さんのナレーションが「カーグラフィックTV」のメモワールを 観ている気分にさせてくれるのは本当にありがたいですね｡

セガはなんか音楽がドラマチックで秀逸

今のグラフックのリアルなラリーゲームより不思議なおもしろさがセガラリー２にはあるね

i think thats largely got to do with "arcade game" physics that sega rally 2 has (and also sega rally 1). sega rally 2006 is also somewhat like that as well, but because its a japenese-only release, i cant play it as there is no english patch.

Playing this at the arcade was "the jam", you'd always drop some coins for this!!

懐かしい！アーケードで狂ったようにやり込んだっけ。 最終ステージのリビエラで、三角コーンを全てなぎ倒すと隠しステージに行けるのを発見した時は嬉しかったなあ。多分ゲーメストの記事より早かった記憶があります。 ギャラリーに、「あそこにはどうやって行くんですか？」って聞かれてやり方を教えたり、嬉しい交流が昔のゲーセンにはありましたね(´∀｀*)ｳﾌﾌ

From an era of pure nostalgia overload… The Dreamcast and its library of stellar arcade titles now hitting 25 years old. The music from games like Sega rally, Shenmue, Soul Calibur, JSR, Sonic and scores of other titles just can’t be topped and still rock to this day.

セガラリーからやってたからこの2が待ち遠しくてなー。ＤC買ってからすぐ購入。飯もロクに食わないで夢中になってやってた。　通信対戦で東京14サーバーでチーム組んで戦ってたっけ。　あんなにゲームにドップリハマってたのはこのソフトしか思い浮かばないし、やろうと思えばＤCもソフトも当時のデータもまだあるからできるんだよなww結局アーケードモードの最速マシンってどれなのか最後の方は解らなかったな。プジョー306もアンダー抑えればほぼ最速だった時期もあったけど。懐かしいもんだ。

懐かしいなぁ 子供の頃よく遊んでた… このゲームのおかげでストラトスが大好きだった

昔ゲームセンターで良く遊んだなぁ。。 サイドブレーキ引くと、裏メニューが出るんだよね♪

懐かしい。大好きで20年位前ゲーセンでかなりやりこんだゲーム。15年ほど前には中古で20万くらいで実機がオークションで出ていたので本気で購入しようか悩んだ記憶がある。ただ、近年では見られないほどの豪華な筐体で置く場所など当然なく、泣く泣く断念したのはいい思い出。

父がXP用の？ソフトを持ってて 大昔にやったのをうっすら思い出して 懐かしい気持ちになりました！

I swear, this car has some AMAZING "snapback". I actually played this for the first time yesterday, and I did very well in Desert and Mountain but Snow? I did admittedly have to cut my speed several times.... and sadly, I didn't even get to clear Riviera.

Hello, you asked for my advice on the Supermodel forum. It's funny, I was just thinking about both Sega Rally games today after not playing them for a couple of years. I was never an expert on these games, but watched a lot of replays here on KZread to get better. The the first thing you do is find the car that works best for you. I couldn't enjoy the handling of the Stratos but I've seen fast times with it. Secondly and this is probably the biggest help, enable alternate timer so you can see if your split times are fast or behind your best. Getting altogether faster times is just about grinding, continually replaying and making sure you're taking every corner as close to the wall and as fast as you can and working out a method to get the fastest possible start. I see you start in gear 2 and that's probably what I did, I just can't remember exactly, but I was shifting into 3rd and 4th at precise numbers. See other videos for how they do it. So when you add up all of your little improvements, you eventually save a lot of time. I know it sounds simple. I wish I had a couple of nice videos both games but it would take while to get back to where I was and I don't play games any more.

hello,thanks for your comment i started out with the stratos because i love ridge racer so i wanted to drift a lot,then i had a delta phase (improved my PB to 4:12) but,honestly,apart from the peugeot,the cars aren't too dissimilar imo right now i cannot pick the ideal one for me and going back to the stratos feels really weird somehow like i said,i think the mountain stage is the one where i have a considerable room for improvement also,did you use first or third person view ? i feel like you need fpv to join the below 4:10 club oh,and how do you activate the alternate timer ?

The Mountain track was probably my worst as well, the hairpin on it as well as other hairpins and sharp corners are vital things to get right. The Snow stage can be a breeze to play. Glue the accelerator to the floor. I used the first-person view but I think you could still do it in 3rd person. It's just knowing the feel of the corners. And from looking online, the trick for the alternate timer was "Put in your name then hold 'Select' and 'Handbrake' until the game starts." I couldn't remember how to do it or if it even has a better name. I assume they mean Start instead of Select. Forgot to say, you can always feel and judge how good you're getting by looking at where you pass the AI cars at certain points. They're always at the same pace so if you're slightly ahead of where you met the last time, you're flying.

@@virtualvalium gonna have to disagree about third person view - it's the same in ridge racer or rave racer : the game feel is different and first person is usually always better . i feel it is no coincidence that all the best japanese players use it ; there's also a good english player (whose name now escapes me) who managed to get a sub 4 time with the peugeot and he used first person too thanks for the "alternate gui / timer" tip , i really like it for several reasons and,yes,makes playing the game a lot more fun / interesting . really nice ! i noticed it in one of those sub 4 videos on real hardware but,because it was a twin cab,couldn't tell if it was a "link-only" extra option / feature and couldn't find any info by googling so thanks again for clearing that up

Nice job man! It's tricky to drive the Stratos well.

What input device are you using? I have a Logitech F310 joypad and it's very difficult controlling the car to me. Can you recommend me a different input device or settings I can play with? What are you using?

Never knew the attract mode can host replays. Is it a Japanese ver. only feature or something? I’m currently running on Export region (same as what would it run on the cabs over here).

Don’t use Supermodel 0.2a. Use the newer SVN versions.

@@justanotheryoutubechannel not at all you can upscale to 3840x2160 wide-screen or 4.3 just change the scaling in the app right click etc etc easy to do. Amazing results

@@justanotheryoutubechannel no it's 3840x2160 you input it in the supermodel emulator. Clearly you've never used to supermodel emulator so until you do it's pointless explaining to you. Hope this helps

うまい‼️お見事。 それにしても懐かしい😃 昔、ゲーセンで一瞬にして5000円が無くなり、これはもう買って家でやりたいと思い、セガ本社に電話して売ってくれと言ったら、個人の販売は出来ないと言われ、じゃあ購入は諦めますが、自分がもし業者だとしたらいくらですかと聞いたら1200万円くらいですって答えてました… その後、セガサターンに移植され、ハンコンまで買い狂ったようにやりこんだいい思い出です😆
