As someone who only played the genesis as 5 year old, and lost it forever when my family was robbed, getting the first genesis mini was practically a whole new experience for me. Having played most of the games on the mini now, I have to say I am extremely excited for the genesis mini 2. I can understand why some people are dissapointed, but most of the games are completely new and fresh to me, so I have no complaints.

Sadly there’s also the fact that SEGA has their hateboner towards Eternal Champions[even when that original Genesis/Mega Drive version appears on AtGames Genesis awful one]. So sadly the definitive Eternal Champions Challenge from the Dark Side is omitted from a new legal release thanks to SEGA’s bullcrap. I hope someone hacks this thing so we can get this and other games easily

Dude you rule. I've been waiting for the best list of the games on the new sega mini, several KZread made videos quickly but they were just thrown together with little effort or information. This took you less then 24 hours to release information that was useful and well informed. 👌 you truly do go above and beyond and I appreciate that can't wait for Crusader of Centi been wanting to play it for years.

Totally agree. And the effort was worth it cos as soon as I see the notifications about the mega drive mini im watching within minutes 👏

Alien Storm, Decap Attack, MUSHA, Pirates Gold, Mutant League Football, Rocket Knight Adventures, and Mega Bomberman all would have been WAY better choices over ClayFighter that I could see the licensing not being too difficult to negotiate. Also while the Sega CD lineup on the Genesis Mini 2 generally leaves a lot to be desired, Popful Mail being left out might be my biggest disappointment.

I agree. Popful Mail apparently couldn’t be included because of issues with rights to the English dub, but I didn’t learn that until a couple of days ago. With no Snatcher or Popful Mail, and already owning physical copies of most of the games I care to have, I might cancel my preorder. The only games that will make me think about keeping it are Ristar, Earthworm Jim 2, Ninja Warriors, and Robo Aleste.

At Reddit people are speculating the underrepresentation of Sega CD games might be because many of those games (such as Popful Mail) were published under Working Designs and they still have the rights at least of those games translations. Sega may not have been able to reach a settlement with them.

Lunar and Snatcher are absolute crucial for the Sega CD!

Truth be told, I'm pretty satisfied with many of the titles included. Granted, I'd have loved "Popful Mail" and "Snatcher," but we are getting a lot of gems. Honestly, I really didn't think we were going to get "The Revenge of Shinobi," so was happily surprised to see it included, being as those it's my favorite Genesis title. So many great titles on here that I'm not going to bother listing them, but I'm very happy with MANY of the inclusions.

The fact that this thing isn't getting a mainstream retail release is a nail in the coffin.

This was by far and away the best coverage of the mini 2 games that I saw on here. Thanks for taking the time to do this right SLX, you were not the first, but you were definitely the best.

I really like Sega's ability to pull games in who aren't from the big companies. Really wasn't expecting but will actually play. Games like Populous, Desert Strike and Hellfire. I also like the fact there are more shmups here than on the Nintendo minis.

I recently revisited Ranger-X, which I adored back then. A lot of it's graphical trickery still looks neat to this day, and the music is as catchy as ever, but it had it's fair share of jank that's not so easy to overlook anymore.

Ranger X looks like a PS1 game with duller colors I mean the graphical scope of that game just destroys other Genesis games

Crusader of Centy (or Soleil as it was called here in PAL regions) is as true as it gets to a genuine hidden gem. Its a bit more well known now, but I had it as a kid and could never understand how nobody had ever heard of it - especially given how few games there were like that on the Mega Drive. Fantastic game and I'm glad that so many more people will get to experience it now.

It looks SO GOOD! I’ve never played it and somehow never even knew of its existence, and I had all of the systems throughout my childhood, including Genesis. I only found out about the game a few years ago through gaming channels on KZread like SLX. By the looks of the game, it probably would have been a favorite of mine, since my favorite genre is action RPGs like Zelda. I wish I could check it out, but I no longer have any of these systems. I should get myself a mini so I can check out crusader of cent.

As a big fan of Streets of Rage 3 which is my favorite beat em up, im very happy to see this game here.

This collection is mostly good when combined with the previous mini. There are 2 games i wish were there, sword of Vermillion and Jewel Master. Both of those games were and still remain special because of the fun I had playing them as a kid. The fact they put Crusader of Centy on there is big though, I recently played and beat it the first time and consider it an excellent adventure rpg

You know Sword of Vermillion is in the "Sega Genesis Classics" collection for the consoles like the Switch, PS4, etc. Most of the games on this collection eventually ended up on the mini as well, but if you really want that specific game you can still get it for $20-$30.

I feel like it's important to mention the whole situation with the most obvious three exclusions from the Japanese side. All one would need to do is go look up the current rights holders for the english translation done by working designs. To me it's an obvious money thing they asked for a certain amount and say it didn't want to oblige, simple as that. Whether or not it's somebody being greedy or somebody being cheap the end result is the same.

Even though you’ll be able to add your own games at some point, I agree that not having popful and lunar games are keeping me from getting this. I’ve got too many ways to play Roms anyway, I don’t need to add another one when the main games I want to play are going to be roms I have to install on the device.

@Burst Your Bubble Kind of agree but the probably part is what scares me. We all saw what happened with the TG-16/PC engine minis and as others have said for that matter why even bother just get something else that can play these ROMs. Don't get me wrong it's cool and official but the fact you have to add a lot of the ROMs you want really kills it for a number of us.

I've gotta say this collection is almost perfect for me as it includes virtually every game left on my "to get" list for the original hardware, and with prices the way they currently are it couldn't have come at a better time.

I'm very happy they included Shining Force 2 (the best game ever made, in my humble opinion), Shadow Dancer, Soleil, Ranger X, Rolling Thunder 2, Ristar, Thunder Force IV, Silpheed, Revenge of Shinobi, Alien Soldier, Bonanza Brothers, Splatterhouse 2, Super Street Fighter 2, Virtua Racing, Vectorman 2 Ecco: Tides of Time, Robo Aleste, Final Fight CD and Streets of Rage 3. However, I would trade ClayFighters snd Swever Shark for great games as Quackshot, Alien Storm , Pulseman, Mercs, Gargoyles, Rocketknight Adventures, Road Avenger, Sreets of Rage 1, Sonic3&Knuckles, Sonic2&Knuckles, Lunar SS and EB, Snatcher, General Chaos, Super Strike Trilogy, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Moonwalker, Popful Mail, Battlecorps, Blades of Vengeance, Panorama Cotton, Battlemania 2, Dahna, Two Crude Dudes, Bimminirun, Soulstar and E-Swat..'any day of the week.

I agree... Sega ended its partnership with Michael in 1993, due to allegations against him. There was even a new arcade game in development, which was canceled and credits for a participation on the Sonic 3 soundtrack was withdrawn for not hurting Sega's reputation with kids.

Soulstar, Lunar SS/EB, Popful Mail, Snatcher all could have bolstered the western release CD lineup considering all of them were actually released here back then.

With Lunar and Popful Mail, you've got Victor Ireland and the bankrupt status of Working Designs to contend with. With Snatcher, you've got to convince Konami to rope Kojima into discussions about royalty payouts, at the very least. Soulstar, I have no clue. I wish those games were all included as well, but Sega would just wind up hemorrhaging money in royalties, especially since I've been told there is chip shortage, and the mini console will be produced in very limited quantities.

Thank you. A fantastic run down. I am really sad that Snatcher is missing. It's a no-brainer. I really do wish to know why it's not there. A deep diving into that alone is worth a follow up, IMO.

This is an awesome lineup. I could totally do without clay fighter. And the lack of snatcher is the biggest omission of all. But I’m particularly glad to see phantasy star ii included.

I found out about the tribute message in the MD Mini 2 for Rieko Kodama, who passed away in May. I just watched her interview for the Genesis Mini 1 a week ago! A wonderful person, and the heart and soul of Phantasy Star and Skies of Arcadia and many others. rip

Yes, I can say that this channel helped me express more openly that I do love and appreciate Sega with its diverse heritage. Still, many people I do know are flabbergasted that Sega did more than Sonic stuff... and then get really confused if they see something like the Sega ensemble mascot games like Sega Tennis, Sega All Stars Racing and similar stuff. Although it is a mixed bug, if you count the games which are really good, this is a worthwhile purchase.

Captain Tsubasa aka "Olive et Tom" was immensely popular on France's playgrounds circa 1989. Not kidding you, this Manga is single-handedly responsible for thousands of kids joining their local football club and eventually winning the world cup. Basically, Captain Tsubasa was Dragon Ball on a football pitch. Never had football been dramatized like this before and surprise, surprise, the Mega-CD video game respects the ambiance of the animé to a tee. The appeal of the game resides in nostalgia. Belgium and France have a strong tradition in comics. When Mangas landed on the European shores, they were a instant hit, way more than they were in the UK. This odd Franco-Japanese connection is no innocent to the triumph of the Sega Master System. 600,000 units in 1991 alone.

They really missed a trick with not having any 32x games. Virtua racing deluxe and Virtua fighter are still fun and Kolibri, tempo and Knuckles Chaotix 2D graphics really aged well with its colourful images. And not having a single core design game included is tragic. Also since they putting in obscure games, Duke 3D should have been on it, just to recognise Brazil’s contribution to Sega’s history.

First, this comes with the six button controller and enough internal HD space to fit a number of CD games on, that is reason enough for supporting it right there. Second, many of the games I intend to put on it were licensed for a limited time only during their original window of release, meaning there are legal barriers preventing from ever being LEGALLY released again, in any format, ever. I won't hold that against SEGA. Everyone has their favorites that they would want to see, and NO ONE is going to get everything they want. That is where customization comes in (...but if I couldn't do that, then that would be a dealbreaker). Finally, supporting this is voting for a Saturn Mini down the line. So not only will I buy one, I may buy two, just to have spare in case the first one ever kicks the bucket.

@@cordaxg6261 the old one didn't have enough space for CD games without the use of a flash drive, which while doable would then prevent 2 player play, so this one should have the space for more without having too stick something in it

As soon as I saw the final list of games confirmed, I've kept checking this channel to see your take on them.

Those Space Harrier ports do look amazing.

Also hoping that the new included Space Harrier games can be run on Genesis hardware and lead to new repro carts of them being made

My brother and I played TJ&E 2 before we played the original, and we loved it. We had the opposite experience to most people, where we were disappointed when we saw how different the first one was.

Panic on Funkotron is so underrated. If you have someone to play with it is one of the best two-player coop games ever.

So many of these was my Jam as a kid, I do miss playing certain titles like thunder force 4 and X Ransar. Very under appreciated games from that time,

12 Sega CD games vs 20 for the MegaDrive is a kick in the pants especially when theirs includes the Lunar games and Popful Mail while ours includes Night Trap and Sewer Shark. I think it’s also annoying seeing how hard Sega worked to get the best games on the Mini 1 with deals with Konami, Disney and Capcom. The Mini 2 seems like it was filled with whatever games came cheapest. I’d be perfectly happy with any Genesis games included if they even tried to make the best CD lineup. I knew no licensed games like Batman Returns or Terminator would make it but no Working Designs or Core Designs Soul Star, Battlecorps, Thunderhawk. No Snatcher or Rise of the Dragon. No Road Avenger or Time Gal. No Keio Flying Squadron or Android Assault. It’s not all bad but considering this will cost around $130 since you have to pay $22 in shipping and I can’t believe but I’m going to pass on this one.

My guess is they probably cost near nothing to get in Japan but are a big pain in the ass due to working designs involvement in the US. And yes I wouldn't be surprised if there was still anger and resentment from Ireland due to him being screwed over.

Final Fight and Splatterhouse alone is worth, to own a Sega Genesis & Mega Drive Mini 2 in my book.

During the Sega of Japan youtube show, they mentioned that M2 developed the Space Harrier so that only the scaling feature was added to the pure Mega Drive hardware capability, as if to show what if in alternate universe the Mega Drive had a hardware scaling support, thus before the title screen it even says "Sega Mark V" which almost was the name for the Mega Drive

Shining in the Darkness is such an underrated classic...just like Sword of Vermilion.

The game that had me like “WHY!” was Clayfighter. To take out the Lunar games was a huge disappointment. I’m really only buying this just for the mini console collection. I think in the meantime I will just emulate these games for my raspberry pi.

@@Invidente7 Yeah, I always considered it a given that the WD titles would never be re-released on this console. While you could argue that they were developed by Game Arts just like Silpheed, which did get included here, Silpheed was localized by SEGA. Meanwhile, Working Designs went bankrupt around two decades ago, and I'm sure working out the licensing and royalties for a re-release of any of their games must have been a legal nightmare Sega didn't want to touch.

Lunar Silver Star, Eternal Blue & Popful Mail were long shots for NTSC due to Working Designs licensing but I really hoped for Snatcher cuz Konami’s CastleVainia & Contra titles were on the Model 1 mini, guess console ESRB would have been an issue? Still there’s some solid titles (Crusader of Centy is amazing!) but IMO the Model 1 offerings were much better. Still I’m grateful and definitely getting this

Wonder if this thing as a SD slot . How we're people adding roms and openbor games on the SNES mini is that a jailbreak ?

Great video once again. I'm happy with the choices here but if I'm able to get a mini 2, I'll just add those missing games.

Thanks for this overview. By the way, Dodge Danpei is an awesome game, very fun in 2-player mode once you learn how to play it. It's one of the most played Mega Drive games in my household.

Nice video! It seems like a decent collection on the Genesis Mini 2, but it seems like they really skimped on a lot of Sega CD titles. There are a fair number of Sega CD gems that appear to be missing and that really is a shame. Though, honestly, it will be a moot point anyways once this thing gets hacked and you can freely add whatever games you want. I would love if Sega made a _Sega Saturn Mini_ as that has even more titles that are near-impossible to play anywhere else! However, I am not holding my breath as it just seems like it wasn't nearly as popular as some of Sega's other consoles. 😔

Actually they do wanna make a sega saturn mini, but the chip shortage just delay this mini system. Sega wants to do it. But yeah I’m kinda disappointed with this.

Look, I was as excited for this as the next person, I'm glad SEGA is unearthing more and more titles than the usual suspects and of course it's great it's brought over to Europe ; but, owning previous Sega games compilations (like, Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection on PS3 and Sega Genesis Classics) a LOT of these titles are overlapping with those I already own through various comps. There are some great ones here to be sure, like Shining Force CD and Rainbow Islands Extra, but that's hardly enough to justify the purchase. I understand that it's supposed to be a limited and exclusive product and not just a games compilation, but I'm sure there is quite a few folks who'll feel that's not enough to shell out cash for another (much pricier) mini console.

I don't have a PS3 I'm getting my SEGA Genesis mini 2!!

I'm glad Super Locomotive made it to the Genesis Mini. I wasn't familiar with it prior to seeing this video, and I figured there was no way in Hell it'd come to the U.S. version of the Mini while watching the first portion of this video. Looks like a really interesting game.

OK I'm the oddball here in that I find night-trap and sewer sharks underwhelming to the point of 'please remove.' Desert Strike though. I remember sinkingso many hours into that game. Like you I am underwhelmed by the Clayfighter include. REALLY wish we had earthworm jim CD, but the sequel is good. Many gems here. A few duds. On the whole I'm glad it's being released, but like you why are we not getting snatcher, vy, and a few of the other CD gems that would have made this an instant buy? I'm eager for the system teardown and see what the hacking community can do with it.

The Japanese Mega Drive Mini 2 has a great variety of game genres that is lacking on the Genesis Mini 2.

I can't believe The Third World War wasn't included. It's a Sega CD only exclusive and there is no other game like it that I've played -- and I've looked everywhere.

30:44 I wonder how they did the enhanced version of Space Harrier 2 (with sprite scalling) since the Megadrive mini 2 has Mega CD games, maybe it's using the Mega CD for sprite scaling? If everything is done on stock Megadrive hardware, it's very impressive.

I don't think they used MCD technology. there are sprites flickering. Neo Geo didn't have zoom chipset but they made software zooms/scaling anyway. It's sftware wise prowess. 😊 (Bad English sorry)

I think they've improved upon the original game, as early titles are rushed, and devs rarely know how to milk the machines early on. Imagine if we saw impressive games like Ranger X, Adventure of Batman & Robin, Sonic 3D Blast, Red Zone, Vectorman, Panorama Cotton and others in the same caliber, all using stock hardware as launch titles, wouldn't that be unbelievable? Also, check Formula One from Domark, it's something Japanese devs probably were envy when compared to SEGA's own Super Monaco GP, this game looks basically like a 3D racing game running on stock Mega Drive, with smooth scaling. Space Harrier 2 could be so much more, even more than this enhanced version.

My guess would be Blast Processing, and I’m not being sarcastic or anything! 😅 I’d guess they’re using the enormous storage capacity they now have access to, to essentially pre-render all the sprites at different sizes and then use “blast processing” to stream new sprite sizes from the ROM to make it look like they’re being scaled smoothly in software. It’s a shame they didn’t give Outrun, Outrunners or Galaxy Force the same treatment.

Cancelled my pre-order. It's a shame. All I needed was Popful Mail, Snatcher, & the two Lunar games. I have two Sega CD's, so I'll just pirate them now.

Can’t wait to try it out. Most of the games I don’t have.

While I didn't own a Genesis during it's heyday I did get big into it in the early 2000s, even got a copy of Warsong for dirt cheap, so I had to order one of these for stuff like Shining Force CD and Ranger X. Super pumped even if a few things, especially Snatcher, was left out.

I am very interested in the version of Space Harry 2 with much better Scaling, that would be something interesting to play again. The one that has me in doubt is whether Space Harry 1 is the 32x version or is it a game programmed from scratch and new... I would have liked the RPGs in Japanese to be translated into English for us to play for the first time .

If I were to make a guess, it's likely developed by the same guy who was working on the Mega Drive port of Fantasy Zone. I can't remember his name but he does have a KZread channel showcasing his progress. Based on what I saw, it's definitely from scratch and true to the original hardware.

After seeing the Japanese version get Popful Mail and Lunar I got my hope up a little too much. Seeing the final list left a bad taste in my mouth. Final Fight CD being on there makes me wish Street's of Rage 2 was also on there, 3 is still good but I would love being able switch between the 2 on one system. Pleasantly surprised Crusader of Centry made it, but I was looking for more CD gems since I just got a repro cart of Centry for my Analogue Mega SG. I was thinking about buying the mini 2, but the final list of CD games has it now being a pass for me.

Some interesting titles they chose for this console. I agree some more Sega cd games would be nice.

I am happy with the overall list of games. I feel like no matter what was announced we would have felt slightly disappointed. So many to choose from.

There's always going to be disappointment with collections of this nature but personally I can't wait to get my hands on this and I'm planning to spend time on every title included. Apart from Clay Fighter 😁. I still love my Mega Drive Mini and once you've played out all the games it's still a pretty cool item to have under the TV. Super happy there's a release for us here in the EU too. Thank you Sega.

I knew Snatcher was a long shot because of how iffy Konami is these days and their relationship with Kojima going down the toilet, but Lunar should have been there in place of Clayfighter. They also could have done both FF2 and SamSho because SNK fighters seemed to come out decent on Genesis.

Apparently the person who owned Working Designs, the company that brought the Lunar games to the West, still owns the rights to the translations and asked for a ridiculous licensing fee to use them. So to bring the games to the Mini 2 in the West Sega would have to retranslate the games and it seems like they just aren't willing to do that.

I have the same feelings to the Mega Drive Mini 2. I love a number of these games like Warsong, but I really wanted to see Lunar 1 and 2 on the little machine despite having the PS1 remakes. Here's hoping we get a Mini 3 with all the missing games or maybe a Saturn Mini in the future.

As much as I love the Megadrive getting love, and some of the titles are exciting to have, I can't help but think this second edition was a little bit random. Things like the Megadrive version of Populous make no sense to me, and Clayfighter... more like Trollfighter.

Clayfighter makes zero sense to me since Sega could've easily included Eternal Champions CD or Fatal Fury Special for Sega Cd. They included the Genesis version of Fatal Fury 2 for some reason but it just feels like a waste since there's a better Sega Cd version.

They blew it, I'll be skipping this one. If they included the Sega CD RPGs on the Japanese version that were localized to the US I would have bought one. Also I think it's pretty scummy to solicit pre-orders before the final games list is released. I almost fell for that.

@@joezar33 the second revision of the saga genesis flashback from atgames have sd slot and the emulation works pretty well! I added every games of that batch in mine. Included translated ones like lunar or color revised like fatal fury 2 or ssf2. Do not be confused with previous crappy machines from atgames, the flashback revision 2 is so good!

My guess is that Victor Ireland (owner of Working Designs/Gaijin Works) still hates Sega after all these years, even though Bernie Stolar is dead. He was willing to work with Sony to release Arc the Lad, Alundra and Vanguard Bandits on the PlayStation Network.

I agree, i would have liked to see more Sega CD games on the American release but there is still enough on here to buy for me. I never played the Lunar games and hearing you talk about them makes me want to. Anyway, another great video!

It wouldn't be a proper Sega Lord X video without some Shadow Dancer bridge level water parallax! I was getting worried for a minute there!

The absence of both Lunars & Popful Mail take this thing down a notch, without a doubt. Sewer Shark and Night Crap over Dark Wizard and Snatcher? Typical Sega of America rubbish. Ok I must give props for Crusader of Centy, Ranger X, & Shadow Dancer.

The list is ok. The lack of Lunar and Popful Mail is a disappointment as well as many others. Oh well there's always the model 3 😂

I’m happy w the inclusion of clay fighter. Yeah it’s a bad game but it is very pretty and very 90’s. I consider it an interesting artifact rather than a genuinely fun gameplay experience, and honestly that’s how I feel about 2/3 of the titles here. I’m okay with that on a mini console for a 35 year old system. I also would have been pumped about the inclusion of Shaq-Fu, full disclosure. Best of all would have been Primal Rage, which is surprisingly good from a gameplay perspective.

I love clayfight, but fact IS super nin version IS the superior version by far. I would love having Megadrive shaq fu.

I'm not really bugged out by the regional differences since I can play literally the entire Genesis/Sega CD/32X library on my hacked Mini 1 via Retroarch but I'm super stoked over the arcade style remake of Space Harrier II. I always thought it would've been an amazing sequel if the graphics were like the arcade version of SH1. M2 gave Master System Fantasy Zone II an amazing remake on PS2 and 3DS awhile back so I got high hopes for the SH2 remake.

Where is a good place to acquire the ROMs for SCD/32X games? Every site I've tried has been too shady for me to trust and download from. Ever since uncle Ninty rained fire on ROM sites, I haven't really been in the loop.

No Snatcher significantly diminishes the value of this device. Huge missed opportunity.

HOLY CRAP, CAPTAIN TSUBASA CD, the game is crazy expensive now so I am really happy that they added it to the lineup. With enough trial and error you can figure out what each option do. However, I understand your opinion of not being that interested in the sport. As always thanks for your coverage of the mini 2 😁

It's missing several good ones. They should have a way to purchase more games to add on later. Otherwise people are just going to hack it and add everything.

The disappointment I have with this is that the list of games doesn't seem to be particularly well curated. The best compilation of any system and any games I own is the Ultimate Mega Drive Collection on the 360. Everything about that package, from the selection of games, the museum content, the unlockables, to the presentation was put together with such care and attention to detail it was a real love letter to the Mega Drive. I'm not getting that vibe with the Mega Drive/Genesis 2 and instead I'm getting the retro shovel-ware vibe. I might still get one if this pitches up in Europe, it's still a nice thing to have and it has some decent games and bonus content on it. I just think it could have done with a bit more thought about what to put on it.

Most definitely will add to my collection

It's worth it for the back port of Space Harrier II to the SH1 hardware. I always loved Space Harrier II, and it'll be amazing to see it play at a smooth frame rate. As far as Sega CD games I would have liked to see.. Terminator (would have required some licensing), Earthworm Jim Special Edition. I am a bit confused why this was left off. Maybe Tommy Tallarico didn't allow them to use his amazing red book audio CD tracks. :P And Out of This World / Heart of the Alien might have been nice to see too.

I'm mostly positive on the Mini 2 and looking forward to it. They only have a handful of actual stinkers on this (Clayfighter, the Outrunners port, the non DC version of 3D Blast) but most are great choices, especially if someone likes playing shoot em ups/action titles. The CD selections are kind of lackluster. It's got some great choices but seems to fall a little flat for me. Night Trap and Sewer Shark are alright, given the history of them for the system, but the real loss is no Lunar games or Popful Mail, all due to, allegedly, the former owner of Working Designs wanting too much money for the dubbed audio/translations. A real shame since both Lunars are fantastic games and Popful Mail is fun. No opinion on Vay, I haven't play it yet. However my biggest disappointment was no Snatcher. Hell, looks like there's no Konami games this time at all. I would of replaced Clayfighter with Rocket Knight Adventures at least. Also no Road Avenger, Soul Star, Android Assault or even Panic! but the titles that were chosen for Sega CD round out an okay list. Bonus for Sonic CD, as it will also have the option to play the Japanese version with its soundtrack.

Hard to justify the expense when already having the Sega Classics on Steam. Lunar and Lunar 2 would have changed that for the US version.

Lets see... you get a physical hard copy of everything including legit 3x2 button layout, and don't need anything else. Or you can boot up a PC, wait an hour for patches to update, then play games wrongly on your crappy half broke XBOX 360 controller.

I am with you, my Lord. Although I'm happy that they're including Crusader of Centy, Ranger-X, and Ristar, my Genesis Mini 2 will also have the Lunar games, Popful Mail, and Snatcher (as well as Earthworm Jim: Special Edition, Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side, Heart of the Alien, and Mickey Mania CD)...thank you in-advance Hakchi2 C.E. and Team Shinkansen!! P.S. When I saw ClayFighter made the list I instantly face-palmed hard. If they wanted to include another two-player game, they could've gone with either Mutant League Football or Hockey (or both)...what a joke.

Id much have preferred a dedicated mega cd mini rather than this haphazard collection of random titles. Id also have left out the live action mega cd titles as they are more of a gimmick than anything else

Overall I appreciate most of the titles immensely and believe it's a more solid lineup than the first Genesis mini, however sewer shark, nightrap, and clay fighter are utter trash imo.

I'm sure licensing was the issue but X-Men clone wars would've been amazing. One of the best late stage Genesis games. Also Separation Anxiety or Maximum Carnage

When I think of Genesis games X men 2 is on my top 10 list. It was only on the Genesis. Licensing must have been hard, even though they got Castle of illusion before and they are both Disney.

I'm not surprised Lunar didn't make it. I've heard that Victor Ireland made it impossible but I don't know how. Over all I'm happy with the line up. Herzog Zwei was probably my most played Genesis game.

I now find hilarious that Snatcher appears on not one, but TWO mini consoles (Turbografx 16 mini as well), but only in its original Japanese version.

Really hope this gets an Australian release. Would love to get my hands on it mainly for the Mr Tricycle port.
