Seether...they aren't many I don't like. There so many I love I'm not sure I could name all in a sitting. I'd have to roll a playset I have of most of there stuff. Amy Lee "Call me when you're sober" to Shaun & Suggest Breakdown by Seether he slung back at her. Im just greatful it sparked such pain and blow me away music from both.

I can see it making sense in both contexts. Even with Amy I could see a couple that might have lost a kid relating to this song as well. Its all about what emotions hit you for what reasons. Seeing a song in a different light is a big part of why music can be so interesting.

@@angeldown1366 that's some bullshit. first of all he deserved everything she said about him. She is the victim of that relationship, not him. He was a sick person who needed help but let's not blame others for his choices. She was all too good by never saying anything bad about him. Plus, as you've been told there's no way, it takes months and months to organize the single and album release. It would take the crystal ball to know his entry into rehab. And anyway TOD would have sold its 6 million copies anyway because Fallen had already become a worldwide hit album of tens of millions of copies. Amy didn't need scoop, she was waaay famous than him.

What I'm getting from what you've said about this song and Rock music in general is this: we all have preconceived notions about things but if we OPEN OUR MINDS to unfamiliar things and people, OUR HEARTS WILL FOLLOW. I agree with you I think that her voice intertwined with his deep raspy voice and the guitars makes a good combo just a joy to listen to!!

When I hear this song, I immediately think the 2004 version of marvels the punisher! The lyrics to this song describe that character’s pain to a T! On its own, it is a haunting song in its own right! Love it!

This song just touches me so deep because it’s all about grief and loss. Once you lose someone you love, songs like this just move right through you. 🙏🏼

Seether is solid! Lots of great songs! My favorite is “Rise Above This” which is loosely about his brother’s suicide

Great reaction, guys. You reflect on the actual meaning behind the lyrics and harmony and the structure of the song itself. May I recommend you check Amy S current stuff? Everybody just reacts to the music she released during 2003-2007 but nowadays she has matured and has became one heck of an artist. She released tons of music during this couple of years. If you liked her harmonies with Shaun on this one, you d like the duet she did with Bring Me the Horizon called “One day the only butterflies left will be in your chest as you march towards your death”. The whole song is about mankind relationship with planet earth. Check it out. Also, Evanescence’s last album, The Bitter Truth, is such an awesome LP

i used to listen to this often after falling in love with another that did not love me. only to embrace the feeling so that i could learn life lessons and not make them again. its better to embrace and understand our feelings and circumstances than to resist them and lay/lie in denial
