Sky News host Rita Panahi says Donald Trump’s hush money trial “seems to be backfiring” on Democrats as Trump is “increasing his lead” in crucial swing states.
Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels have testified in former US president Donald Trump’s New York hush money trial.
“Whatever the Democrats are trying to achieve here seems to be backfiring,” Mr Panahi said.
“The polls are pretty clear - Trump is increasing his lead, particularly in those crucial swing states.”

That is not the current polling results. Polls over the past few days range from them being even to Trump being ahead by 3 points.
