Laura Anne, I think "pure" is right. Over donkey's years I have loved the voices of many female singers - Eve Graham (New Seekers), Annie Lennox, KD Lang, to name just a few - but Judith Durham had the most wonderful, beautiful, pure, crystal clear singing voice ever. And though I've never met her, by all accounts she was a lovely person. RIP Ms Durham. Gone too soon.

Arguably, one of the greatest female vocalists ever, and for such a long time.

I am born and bred English (1955) but I loved my pop music from when I was about 9. I remember The Seekers put Australia on the UK music map back in the 1960s. I gave up any ambition I had to be a singer when I listened to Judith Durham's voice and realised I hadn't got a prayer of singing that well. RIP gorgeous lady. Thank you for the music - and your boys were pretty good too.

There is clearly something about the name Judith. I have long considered that Judith Durham and Judy Collins each possess such a crystal clear voice. I was lucky to see the Seekers in about ‘65 or ‘66 in London. I didn’t see Judy Collins until about 2008 in Beverly, Mass. RIP Judith Durham. You voice will be missed by all

If I could listen to only two vocal groups it would be the Seekers and the Chad Mitchel Trio....which included John Denver.......both had the best harmonics I have ever heard. The blend of voices in both groups are beyond description.

I was there at Expo 88,thrilled then, feeling very sad today, RIP Judith

One of the main reason she had such a beautiful voice, is the fact that she had perfect pitch - in other words, if you asked her to sing/hum say, b flat or g sharp, she could so immediately without having to search for any 'reference' note. Jimi Hendrix and Mozart both had perfect pitch.

Seekers, in one word, Bravo
