May the One for whose sake you love me, love you...and may Allāh give you Paradise in al-Firdaws al-'Alaa too! I hope that one of the benefits of this KZread channel will be that all of the material is in one place going forward. It also gives me a chance to correct things that I said in previous lectures, to update material, and so on, in shā' Allāh. I've only been to Germany transiting through the airports (although I used to work in Dortmund a very long time ago, before Madinah)...no immediate plans, but let's see what Allāh makes easy.

I'm not sure exactly how the tests will be done by the Dar al-Ber staff, but we will see if it is possible to make them available to the people watching the channel who can't register as official students. In terms of live streaming, that's something that we would like to work towards in the future, but for now, we are just focusing on uploading the classes. Class 3 should be uploaded today (Wed 16th Oct), in shā' Allāh.

Wa 'alaykumussalām warahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu. Ameen...and may Allāh reward you too. Yes, I believe a person can be affected by a picture, online or otherwise. While we don't have a clear evidence for this from the Sunnah (no Instagram in those days!), it doesn't contradict what we know from the Sunnah about the evil eye, since it is the feeling of jealousy and/or amazement that is the basis for the evil eye, and that applies just as much to a picture (or perhaps more, since pictures are often made to look better than they really are). My advice is that a person should look as to why they are uploading that picture. Is it for a benefit and is it being sent to a particular person who needs to see it or to many people? Most of the time, there isn't a justification for doing it. Even worse if the 'awrah is uncovered (like a sister without hijab), and likewise if it is done to show off, which is really inviting jealousy and the evil eye. May Allāh correct our situation and guide us all to the best of this world and the next.

Wa 'alaykumussalām warahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu. It's actually a reciter who visits Dubai every Ramadan. His name is Rabouf Siratoulou (not sure of the spelling in English, perhaps 'Rabov'). The truth is Tafsir is, in its own way, a unique key to the Qur'an as well. The pleasing way in which the meanings of the Qur'an have been clarified. And the mutual link of the Qur'anic verses established is all too praise-worthy. Most likely, Imam Razi himself wrote down his Tafsir as far as Surah al-Fath. Onwards from there, he could not complete. So, the remaining part of the Tafsir, from Surah al-Fatiha to the end, was completed. By Qadi Shihab al-Din ibn Khalil al-Khawli al-Dimashqi (died 639 Hijrah) Or Shaykh Najm al-Din Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Qamuli (died 777 Hijrah). (Kashaf al-Zunun v. 2, p. 477)
