Thank you Geofrey, for the lot of information you have provided on vanilla cultivation. At my sister's coconut grove in Mangalore, Karnataka, India, I had planted a few vanilla vines below a big mango tree. Over a period of 15 years the vines has survived annual pruning. The vines are growing on the mango tree and it's long roots have descended down. The vines are all very healthy. I have retired from my job in Bombay. This year I plan to remove as much of the vines I can and plant them in the 2 acre coconut grove. Viewing your video has helped me a great deal. Thank you. Namaste 🙏

In Uganda so many people scam and steal cos they are so poor I think that’s why they do it not that it’s an excuse at all but it’s not okay that there isn’t any work for them. It’s sooo good to see people being able to make a good living off vanilla in Uganda though. I hope more ppl in Uganda can grow more vanilla. Even people who don’t own a lot of land can still grow some and at least make a bit of money as it’s worth a lot of money so we’ll worth growing it.
