Seeadler schlägt Graugans 1 Eagle hunts Goose 1

Attention: Cruel, nothing for tender minds or children !!!!!!!
English:
Last Monday, the sea eagle pair on our lake organized a successful waterfowl hunt on a greylag goose in a light snowstorm. After both eagles landed one after another in "their" oak and spotted the environment for about 20 minutes, the male (well recognizable by his colorful ringing) flew the first attack, which, however, was unsuccessful.
The female had also left the oak tree during the attack and briefly dug up in the hunting area of the male. When the male broke off the hunting trip, the female started and after a short turning maneuver, a gray goose was surprised and quickly struck deadly by the catches. With wing beats the female tries to bring the heavy prey to the ice / ashore. The partner of the killed Greylag tries with mock attacks on the eagle to wrest his prey, which of course did not succeed. The female creates the greylag goose behind a willow shrub and eats stuffed. Meanwhile, the male waits a few feet away on the ice to get his share afterwards. Both eagles cleaned their beaks and catches after their meal and then flew away with full crops. I had never experienced such a hunting scene in this area

A moment of time of an Eagle's life using all his skills and strength to make a kill, to heavy to lift with those strong wings but able to drag it to shore. I was surprised to see how well the Eagle was able to stay afloat during the attack, takes awhile for the feathers to get to the point where they are to wet to fly well. Admire the patients it takes in the field to be able to capture on video this outstanding event.
