This Musical needs to be released on home media like DVD, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix so that fans can go back in time and relive this great show

There are admittedly great releases for home media of various stage plays, but ... often the people making them either try "too hard" to make it a more "movie-like" experience with multiple camera angles etc. ... or they don't try at all which - also isn't exactly an ideal experience, since home sofa - even on a huge screen - doesn't usually translate properly. IMHO, the beauty of stage plays is the way they work with the limitations of the physical space they have. In B2TF-musical e.g., the way they're using the car prop alongside the clocktower "set" is ... purely magical thing that they've made amazing on stage. But I don't see it translating to screen too well without some huge changes. While I wholeheartedly agree that they should make a video release of the show - since many people simply will never have the means to attend a live performance and ... I feel bad for them - it must be stated that stage productions are *best* experienced the way they've originally been planned for; on stage. If you can, go see it. You won't be disappointed. Even if stage plays normally aren't for you :)

Here Here! For the mighty Winter Garden! At last, someone who seems to know their theatres. The interior auditorium is shaped like an oval platter and has the widest stage in town. "42nd St." was never the same when it transferred first to the Majestic and then to the St. James. My fave too (right after the Richard Rodgers, formerly the 46th St. Theatre--the one house to hold more Best Musical Tony winners than any other place.)

@@mollycblaeser so far what I’ve been able to figure out is the car that flies is separate from the one on stage and has a rig attached to the back. The bottom of the car has a circular mount that can spin it 360. Below that it attaches to an arm that can spin it 360 to invert, that arm most likely also can retract and expand leading it to go off stage. It’s nothing with wires, etc. it’s something that probably lockes into the stage with the knife pins and then can move off stage quickly enough for curtain call. It also is engineered to be small as it’s doing to be used on Tour.

I’m pretty sure that it’s a simple curtain. If you pay attention to how the effects are layered, the top of the background screen goes black that’s when I think a black curtain starts to come down to just a few feet above the car. Meanwhile, the sides and the top of foreground are displaying lighting effects. Then there’s a blackout, the curtains come down the rest of the way and swoosh! fire effect. My best guess. I love when they show bts! To me knowing how something like this works and watching it be executed flawlessly is more impressive! Peoples creativity is the true magic.
