How wonderful to see a story on a positive teacher, whom really enjoys what they do. So many do nothing but complain about the children and their families.

Not without good reason. The conditions teachers go through is insane.

@@pearlgoddess2940 so you think it's ok for teachers to be laughing at a child in elementary school because their parent is in jail and making snarky remarks like wonder if he/she will turn out like that parent, or be critical of a child with broken shoes because the parent can afford to replace them right away. Just those two things I mentioned are not good reasons at all. Yes, some teachers are going through a rough time with their students but what I mentioned isn't funny at all. It's just not always the students who are to blame

This makes me wonder what is the difference between being a teacher in elementary school, middle school and high school? IMO being an elementary or middle school teacher is easy compared to being a high school teacher because you don't need to know as much whereas being a high school teacher is more demanding because you have to know more details and more information than you would if you were just a elementary or middle school teacher where you just need to know the fundamentals or basic information.

Elementary teachers have to be so knowledgeable about foundations and child development. Teaching 30 students at once to read and do basic math is intimidating to this secondary teacher. Elementary kids have higher needs in general.. middle school deals with hormones and behaviors. It’s all important and all challenging

I agree! I taught K-12 all grades. Each grade comes with its challenges and demands. I will say teaching Elementary was harder for me. @@Indianajoanna11

@arthur9231, Teaching any elementary, middle school and high school can be difficult for any teacher. Biggest problem from what I hear is total lack of respect from the students. Kids are showing up in their P.J's, telling teachers you can't talk to me like that, so on and so forth. Bring discpline and respect back into our society. Eons ago when I was in school if I mouthed off to a teacher I got in trouble in school and then again at home. Now that we live in this everybody gets a trophy , feel good society it's destroying our children and our educational systems. Make people responsible for their actions and tell parents to stop being their childs friend

The bar seems so low in USA elementary/schools compared to other countries. Seems like fun and easy.
