I live in AZ and Sedona is only about an hour away from me! It's the best to visit at the beginning of summer when the day is warm and the night time is chilly!

@@helmyfenisia5266 The second week of June, all of June, the afternoons are normally hot in Sedona, until the monsoon rain comes, which might be in late June or July (afternoons and evenings). Of course, "hot" in Sedona isn't as hot as in Phoenix or Tucson, but people from cooler climates would still say it's hot, especially in the direct Sun. Wearing a brimmed or protective hat that lets heat escape while providing shade to your head and neck, and drinking water every few minutes (always carry water with you in Arizona, never be without it), and scheduling the bigger nature outings for mornings will help a lot with the warmer temperatures. Resting in shade periodically is a good idea when out in the heat. All temperature readings worldwide are taken in the shade, so if the temp is said to be 95℉, then that's in the shade, and out in the Sun is much hotter, so shade is very important. You might enjoy my large Arizona playlist; it's an organized video tour of much of the state, and has a large section for the Sedona area, of Oak Creek Canyon as well. Wearing a wet or cool-gel bandana around your neck and keeping it wet (not sopping but wet and cool) will help a great deal with the heat. 😎

Normally, for the days to be warm and the nights to be chilly, that would be latter April and May, latter September and October, not June through early September. Hot Summer temps at these elevations in Arizona have longer summers, and longer still at the lower elevations of Phoenix and Tucson and such. As a native Arizonan, I consider "Summer" in these areas (Phx, Tucson) to be May through October. By the last week of April it's quite warm, and normally around October 23, the weather cools markedly, moving us into a short autumn season. Autumn, Winter and Spring are all short seasons in southern Arizona, while "Summer" lasts about six months. If we were talking about Flagstaff and the Mogollon Rim area (7000'+ in elevation), that's much cooler in the summertime, with more normal season lengths, real autumns, longer winters. Sedona is between those two climates, still quite warm with short mild winters. Even late May afternoons in Sedona can be quite hot in the direct Sun.

I love Sedona but it's crowded now. It was a lot more fun when I was a little girl and the roads were narrow and everyone knew each other and there weren't houses all over the place and businesses and tourists. I know things progress, and that's life, but it was just a better simpler time back then.

That is why Arizona is the only state proud enough about it's sunset to make it our flag. The blue is misleading though, it's should be flames on the ground.

I can't wait to go back again & I can't wait to go see the Grand Canyon next. We just moved to Phoenix, AZ from Richmond, VA & we're loving it out here in Arizona.

Next time let us know you're coming to Az! It'd be great to take you to meet the Apaches, Sedona is their homeland and there's a cave deep off the beaten path where the Apache believe life came from. Every year in late summer the Yavapai-Apache have a ceremony honoring the first woman created and cave she was born from in Sedona. It is public and non-Natives can go, but it's not publicized.

I’m from the Bay Area (San Jose, Santa Clara, Silicon Valley) mostly so I can relate to your videos from your move from east coast to the west coast. I’ve also lived in Northern Utah so I too love the beautiful rock scenery they have. Keep up the good work Sandy Borbon

Is it fair to say I'm passionate about a place I've never even been to? I've always dreamed of visiting Sedona and the Grand Canyon! I am in love with the American west. I made it as far as Albuquerque 3 years ago, and am still just as in awe with the beauty of the desert and the mountains as the day I first saw them. So much peace, wide open spaces, always something to visit. Like you said, "it's heaven on Earth."

I've been to sedona and it is really heaven on earth, it is so beautiful. it has such a weird feeling when you are there its like your so calm and St peace. if you go u have to stay there to see the sunset, it is just the most beautiful sunset ever its amazing that's what I remember most about sedona the amazing sunset. it's a very spiritual place too to pray in and such. also go to sliderock but go during the summer when its hot because the water is melted snow from the mountains so its very very cold. man it's my dream home I can't explain what it's like to go in just a comment. if you haven't been there GO number 1 place in the world.

Hey Mike! Another great video! I just love your attitude and your energy and I think I'm already subscribed to your videos on another channel? Not sure though it is good to see your familiar face. So cool that I found video tho, as I live here, in Sedona! I didn't know that you came through here until watching this one. Sedona is incredible, and as someone who has lived here over 7 years thus far I can definitively say that not all days are as busy as others with regard to tourism. I don't know anyone who regrets living here and I know I've never been happier as I am these days. For many of us, every day feels like we just got here! hahaha When you come through, I'd be happy to share with you some of my favorite spots. I'm a history buff, and I love the local stories! My favorite spots list just continues growing though so maybe sometime consider staying more than a day! Much love and safe travels! ~ Karen

Hey Mikey, I realize this video was made in 2015, and you may never see this comment, but just in case, I wanted to share some info that you may find DELICIOUS. ^_^ While in Sedona today, my husband and I thought of you while enjoying the most YUMMY, juicy, charbroiled, burger (with sweet potato fries) in Sedona, since you visit here annually. We're pretty confident you won't regret checking out Outlaw Grill, if you haven't already. The family there provides OUTSTANDING, heartfelt service, especially Chad, the ingredients are always fresh, portions are generous, and the prices are very fair for Sedona (around $8 and up). And if you're in the Flagstaff area, and happen to crave for some noodles, check out the Mucho Madori ramen with the soft and chewy udon noodles instead of the starchy ramen noodles. It contains the following: Roasted green chile, chicken and pork broth, pork chashu, boiled egg [undercooked the way you like it], garlic oil, sesame seed, scallion, and cilantro. Granted, it probably won't compare to most of the ramen that you've had, especially in Japan, but since you visit this area often, might as well enjoy some food while stopping by. Anyway, continue BEING your authentic, honest, free-spirited, adventurous, fun, highly imaginative, very creative, funny, lovable, and loving self. And thank you for sharing a lot of interesting videos! ;-)

Yay, one of my fav youtubers in my home town! Interesting factoid about Cathedral Rock: It's name was accidentally switched with another rock on the first map of the area and the incorrect names stuck. What used to be called Courthouse Rock is now called Cathedral Rock; what used to be called Cathedral Rock is now called Courthouse Rock. If you look at Cathedral Rock from the right angle, you will see a courthouse scene of a judge marrying a couple.

You should consider living in phoenix as a home base. It is way less expensive than new york or san francisco . In the west valley there is a great asian sore called Lee Lee's, so you could get great food. It is not nearly as cosmipolitan as the cities you have lived in, but it wouls let you be close to the wide open spaces you seem to love. I know how you feel because I am currrently living in Missouri and get weird homesick feelings when I watch you in Arizona. I only lived there for 5 years but my family spent many years of their live there. I have been visiting Arizona since II was 10 and now I am 46.
