Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even kzread.infoUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

how do you weather proof the cables?

I know this is Old but others will or may find this Video and think that all DC lens like at 4:33 to 5:03+ will let you adjust wide-tele or focus auto and sadly that isn't the function of that lens. That is for the Auto Iris that opens and closes. A camera that can take a Parafocal lens has software built in the hardware that will let it focus in while zooming in/out on a object. That lens in this video you set it where you want it and tighten the screws and forget it until you want a different View point. More you move past say 40 feet on a object the narrow the path that a lens or monitor can see. Close wide and far narrow. At the end of the video talking about outdoor housing. There are in General 3 types. The one this Video has is General type Weather proof. Less price. Then there is heater/blower that in most cases will have a thermal type to turn on and off the heat and also the little fan. Also helps keep it from fogging up. and 3rd is a IR one that can sport with or without the heat. Then if you want to get Crazy Fancy lol you can get one with a Wiper on it. I am not kidding they have them out there. Cheapest one I seen lately Retail is around 120ish to over 300. Something to note to people that are thinking about buying a system Bullet cameras are great (Proven thanks to box camera era) but easy to get off VIEW point. Outside Vandal dome is the way to go if your looking to keep people from knowing it around. Good ones to get is with Veri Focal lens and set lens not such a great use in all places say you buy a 8 camera setup you might get best use of a few and then you will wish you had better or more cameras. Veri Focal better able to set at the area to see the most.

Swann do an outback camera but the early versions are useless for recording scum at night. The problem is that the so-called infra red LEDs emit a dull pink glow which gives the game away. The scum will then smash the camera and the SD card. Similar products are now sold with "No Glow LEDs" and with this type one may have a chance.

just use game traps that would typically use a tripwire to engage a spring mechanism to strike a primer cartridge to create a loud bang and scare the shit out of them, but what I would do is modify the mechanism to strike a 20gauge shotgun shell parallel with the trip line and blow pellets through there legs and femur, but hey you may wanna check with your local law enforcement on that or just not give a fuck.

While it has been a while since this Video was made. I thought after taking down one of my Cameras I could make something small that would show what a Real Box Camera Motorized Zoom lens would look like. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zp6Kj5Krn6fUibQ.html This is connected to a Old 960h Box camera . This is just a small Video it also shows the Normal Vari-Focal lens in the top left of the video. Just so everyone knows if you were to buy this lens from most of the online stores it would cost you in the upper of 1000usd. Like Zoro has them listed for over 1200 and almost 1500 for the one I have. Mine is from 2011 Mine is a 20x there is also a 30x and 10, 8, and 5x that range from 600 to 2200 for the 30x. So most people just buy a different camera with Motorized lens already built in however most are not going to give you the picture quality. The lens weighs more then the Camera and has it's own mount and is where I mount it in my Outdoor heated housing. Even though the housing I mount this in is made for outdoors every year I take down all my cameras for cleaning and adjustments. Hope this clears up what a True Motorized lens would look like and the plug he is talking about between 4:32 and 5 something is for DC Iris control. Only works the iris even my Motorized lens has this DC connector and isn't for lens adjustment. I wish it was. Then people are going to ask. Why does the camera have RS-485 and that is because you can access the OSD of the camera and make adjustments. Even maybe like one of my other cameras that has Digital Zoom to area on motion can also work D zoom over OSD but isn't the same as Optical Zoom like a manual Vari-Focal lens as they are showing in this video....
