Sector 9 Product Guide | Mini Series: Barra Soap & Wavepark Mini

Спорт

A new take on the Gullwing Sidewinder Trucks has them whipping and carving under the newest additions to the Sector 9 Mini Series. The Barra Soap and Wavepark Mini (previously known as the Skatepark) are helping to translate a surf style turn onto pavement. The bottom line is... these boards are fun!

I have a Yellow Sector 9 Quad 30 set up with Sidewinder's and 69mm 78a Top Shelf Slaloms and it's Skyjacked with few 1/2" spacers and wedges... Rides like a dream and is super super stable...

I don't thrust those double pivot trucks, i got an old LY Dinghy, I've tried it with original's s6 trucks (bad idea). Standard loose kingpin trucks or reverse kingpin trucks just work fine, no need for those on a banana board. My 2 cents... nice s9 board tho

Try sidewinders. So much fun. Turn on a dime. Can do a full uturn within a 3-5ft diameter.

I agree Robert I find the double piv trucks turn waaay to quickly. I dont want to u turn on a dime cause that's fine for the board, your ass is going to fly off of it. I want as much control as possible and most of the time that involves whipping the tail and not just leaning to turn tighter.

I ride down a hill in my town and i was clocked at a solid 20 mph and i was carving,so that slowed me down.if you bomb down a hill you will crash, because of speed wobbles. You can just carve out of it though.

+YoProMama If you put them on a longer deck they'll be more stable too. I have them top-mounted on a 43" pintail and they're really fun. The tail slides out a lot more than with standard longboard trucks but the slide seems very controlled. As Brian said tho, wouldn't want to bomb straight down a huge hill

Yeah, I just bought these and as soon as the board picks up speed the trucks start wobbling real hard. Great for carving, sliding and free riding but you're crazy to go down any hill with these trucks.

Don't listen to the idiot above. It is so easy to slide with these trucks you don't even have to try. I just put those on a 42" Volador Freeride and by the balls of Zeus, it slides like a dream. Just one thing to consider with these trucks: Get grippy wheels. Hard duro wheels will make the board slide from under your feet easily when carving. Soft wheels will provide a little more traction but will still slide easy.
