Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I've seen my pups head get stuck in between the wire cage so what I did was use poster board paper, cut a long strip and weave the paper through the opening. Now there's nomore opening at least near bottom of the wire cage. My female prefer to use her cage as her whelping box as she's familiar and comfortable, especially since I can cover it up with blanks to give her and her pup more privacy.

First of all Congratulations!!! My question is how long do you let pups feed on mom week 1, week 2 to prevent over feeding?

I went to lowes and bought the corrugated plastic like dura whelp material to do what you did with the cardboard. I used white duct tape on the edges and that way I could sanitize it

Can a dog lose its mucus plug twice? Our small dog is carrying 4-6 puppies and has now had the gooey brown discharge at 41 days AND 50 days. Afterwards it runs clear again. Our breeding mentor was quite alarmed but vet was only able to say (last time) that dog is healthy and no fever or infection. Have you ever had a dog lose mucus plug twice? It goes hard and then overtime drops out each time. We are at day 52 now and she is eating lots, drinking, calm and still wants a walk. Had dieareah for a couple of days but thats gone now

Really do appreciate all the information , i just have one problem with the whole video. That is (there should only be 1 person Explaining what to do ) you guys are literally talking over one another and i missed some of the information because like i said two ppl talking at once . Should be 1 person talking and 1person videotaping
