The older I get the more I believe traditions are very important. Mental health all over the western world is in dire straights with the loss of the family unit, traditions, loyalty, self discipline & duty. Just from what I have observed. It’s not easy but is a good anchor 😊

You've gotta be kidding me. Harry's wife was never a Hollywood star. I'm American and had no idea who she was. The princess of Wales also came out with her post baby bump 3 time's. Exactly! Especially in regards to the amount of money Meghan spends on her wardrobe, you'd expect her to look classy, but she rarely ever does...ill-fitting underwear, items being worn unironed, trousers being too long etc. Just awful! Some outfits might be charming on a twentysomething but look cringey on a woman over 40!

Yes, but in all fairness they were working doing their duty and might I add perfectly, all families have problems and parents or a parent that works a lot and stuff to deal with, difference is they are in the public eye, but we do not know everything. They did quite well or well HM Queen Elizabeth II was one of the greatest Queens this world has ever had and will have. Charles knew he didn't love Diana and I feel he should've spoken up and said he couldn't marry her. I feel eventually as it has happened Camilla and Charles would've married. Whole lot of pain would've been spared, but we all make mistakes and decisions we feel pressured in.

Yes, it is ridiculous to claim the Princesses of Wales, Diana and Catherine, somehow "magically made there stomachs go back in two days later." They wore loose dresses and their post baby bumps are clearly there. The only difference is, Meghan chose to wear a cinched, belted, big black buttoned, double breasted thing (is it some sort of dress, a trenchcoat or a casual suit.) Meghan could not have called more attention to her post bump had she tried. A lot of people would say that was the point, she was doing everything to show off her bump to try and prove she had just given birth. (My position is to not hurt innocent children with rumours, but with royalty in suspicious circumstances, some people are going to wonder.)

i truly feel sorry for the queens uncle, her sister and her son...the king. all three were not allowed to marry their true loves. religion and the monarchy show they get things wrong through time. i say this since charles was finally allowed full circle to marry his true love, camilla. certainly the two princes would not have been born yet there would have been other princes and princesses. tradition is not always correct or certain. time proves this.

But I can’t help feeling that Dianna regardless of her heartbreak eventually rose above it and continued to be loved by many until her untimely death and beyond. Charles is now happy with the woman he always wanted from the beginning. Needless to say ,regardless of what anyone has to say Diana will never be forgotten. She made an indelible mark on history.

Traditions are symbols of history, of who we were, and of who we are and who we want to be. We should not resist some changes, because modern thinking can be more enlightened thinking, forming new and better traditions, forming new and better people. But changes should be adopted only after careful consideration and reflection. What may seem to be a good change in tradition can cause chaos if not for, and approved by, the common good. HMTQ and the RF deserve all respect for keeping traditions alive and the history of the Commonwealth at the forefront of their actions all the while juggling modern life. The minor rule breaking I see no problem with, because some will approve but some will remain traditional. What is more important is the graciousness, elegance, and continuity of the Monarchy and its implementation by the Reigning Monarch.

Charles & Diana both to blame for breakdown of their marriage. Three factors in Diana's death: 1) Being chased by the paparazzi. 2) Drunk driver, no one vetted him. & 3) She chose not to wear a seatbelt. I think Diana had a habit of picking the wrong men. A broken picker. My heart broke for her sons. My heart broke for Diana, in some of her photos with Charles in later years, her body language

I loved Diana even with her brokenness. She was not perfect. The American media has made her into some kind of angel which she was not. Far from it. I do not think sh was the psycho whore that they have tried to portray her as. But the facts are the facts. She cheated on Charles first. She had multiple affairs before Charles even went back to Camilla. If anyone bears responsibility for Diana’s death it is Martin Basheer for his dishonesty in his interviews with her, convincing her that the palace was conspiring against her. It fueled her paranoia and caused her to fire her palace protection officers. Had that not happened she very likely would be here today. Harry would not the the mental case he is now. It would have all been different.

What a lovely compilation of The Royal Family through the Years. Out of all the videos that I have watched of The Royal Family, no one has mentioned the fact that after being married as Princess Diana & Prince Charles walked out of the Cathedral, that Prince Charles walked right down the middle of the red carpet leaving Princess Diana a small path to navigate on carpet or else to be pushed on to the concrete steps. I find that rather rude of Prince Charles. 5:50-5:55

Yes! Let's blame charles for having to follow standard royal protocol that has existed for forever & not only in the UK. The spouse is expected to walk behind the person who has the birtright... Diana had to walk behind charles bcs of royal protocol. Prince Philip had to do the same with the queen... Even the swedish royal protocol demands the same.. So you THINK you know why charles did something.. why? Bcs you know them so well on a personal level & your obvious expertice on royal traditions & protocol? 🤦‍♀️

I have tremendous respect for the Royal Family, & all they have been through under the public eye.

I was born in the USA but, my maternal great grandmother was from a family much like Princess Diana's. You trace her family line to both Henry and Anne and Mary Queen of Scots. The Windors are the Gothage sax couburg's. German as borscht...like Diana's family has more blue in their blood than that mess on the throne now. Diana's and my Nan's family have very old family names as both of her parents were English/Irish and the traditions of "The Crown" coming first before everything and duty toward Country and their subject...so, the family line was nobility and a relative of the Monarchy. Long story short...my Nan's mum recalled standing a top a step ladder while her dresser dealt with the layers and petticoat and the lacing of the boots and the corsets being worn the day she hit puberty...yet, it was while she was on this step stool she could see out past the barriers between the public and the gentry/royals...she just KNEW that those children were smart, and got cuddles, had friends in school...and every time my great Nan was caught speaking with "the common" kids she received a very formal and rigid form of lectures and punishment from her parents, the tutor, someone from her dad's Equerry would drone on about "remembering her station and it's not with the bloody commoners. She knew about America and already as a wee kid she was going to move there...and she also was wise enough to never share her plans with anyone until she was in America and the immigration process was complete. She was almost 16 years old...she applied red lipstick, put her auburn her into a net and donned her finest clothing as her passport was changed in New South Wales to conceal her age and her title. With one large suitcase, an overnight bag and a purse she fled....and taking the roundabout way to the USA was 1. to throw the bloodhounds off her scent 2. I think she was able to get a new identity in Australia and then set sail for New York...she spent her time in the city finishing up plans and deciding on Boston she went by train. She actually met her future husband, my great grandfather momentarily in New York. His family was a well known family connected t industry and engineering...but, he was an artist and sculptor and architect designing some of the finest theaters and his work can still be seen today...he painted frescos and the ceiling murals he sculpted statues of The Greek gods and goddesses because to him...entertainment in the theater began there. I know Apollo and Hyacinth were sculpted together one was throwing a discus and the other playing the lyre...as we know this could have been considered controversial given they were young lovers that ended tragically when the jealous god of the east wind Zephyr caused the discus to be carried far from where Apollo threw it killing his young love. The way my Nan described it was you didn't know who was who in the sculpture...as Apollo taught these both to Hyacinth...the discus statue is from behind and he is nude showing his bum and sitting on a rock partially obscuring the full view on te other character whole ass...the statue has his eyes closed with his face turned toward the sky....he purposely made this statue in honor of one of his brothers and one of his school friends...gay people weren't just shhxt out in the days of Anita Bryant...and the older generation were a lot more tolerant than the brutal hostility seen in congress and in the GOP party. The other statue that caused controversy was Hecate. Hecate is a goddess who is a triple goddess...she is wrongly (I believe she had powers like all the goddesses but, her association with helping those who died tragically their spirit being lost and wandering...she will guide them to the underworld. She was one of the only Old Gods that was still revered by the new Gods...she had dominion over earth, heavens and the underworld...and she embodied feminine power in each stage of life...the intelligent beautiful maiden, the loving mother and finally the crone in her old age full of life's wisdom...she can see in all directions and see the past present and future...but, prophesies can change on the flip of a penny...so, she could advise someone if you continue down this road it will only leave to heartache, this road you've already tried as well and got lost...but, this road here is hope...she was the goddess of crossroads and she stood betwixt in all 3 worlds...and when she saw fit to save one or many she would pull them into her liminal space...out of time and out of danger until it's safe again...she was a medicine and poison creator as some herbs mixed with the right poison makes a whole new strong healing tonic. She befriended the lost, sad and lonely and she guided those worthy and she's know for her empathy and mercy. After all she's your girlfriend and a mum and grandmother....best take as much help as I can being a man...and having the propensity to go astray missing my road because I was singing along to my favorite song...while on the cellphone....driving at night.

@@Cricket2731The law is that a president can serve no more than ten years. Say a president is incapacitated, whether by incurable illness or death, after two full years in office. His vice-president will then serve out the remaining two years of the original president's term. He can then run for president on his own. If he wins, he serves those four years. He can then run for and win another term, which is another four years. That brings his time of serving as president up to ten years. He then can no longer run and serve as president. But you are right, President Obama could only serve the eight years to which he was elected. He didn't have to serve out the preceding president's term. Nor could he have run for a third term, which would have equalled twelve years. (edit-spelling)

Nobody thought ANYTHING about the "Whatever 'in love' means" comment at the time b/c I was alive and I was there. Nobody even mentioned it until the 1990s when the marriage started going so bad and you could look back and see that the signs were there all along. It's so annoying to see all these Monday morning quarterbacks talk about everything they "knew" in the beginning. They "knew" NOTHING! Nobody even said anything like "What the hell is this 19 year old teenager doing marrying a 32 year old man?!" In the beginning they would run the stories they typically do--right after you enter RF and everyone loves you then there's the inevitable dropping you like a hot potato. So they used to say things like Di was running staff away and insinuating she was a diva (doesn't that sound ridiculous now b/c for all Di's faults--and she had many--she never did that.) the other favorite was her clothing expenses. They used to itemize her looks like they do Kate and I believe that of all of them, Di did spend the most (taking into account inflation).

Charles had started a public affairs campaign to have the public accept Camilla. It was starting to bear fruit. Despite them having no responsibility for what happened Charles and Camilla coped a lot of hate and blame after Diana’s death. Camilla became a hated target for so many. Diana died through a choice she made, she did not put on her seat belt. Had she done so she probably would have survived the crash. If you want blame someone, blame the photographers chasing them.
