@@pejuibitayo4542 Revival needs not just spiritual stamina but also physical energy. Influx of souls requires prayer, discipleship needs people with physical energy, praying for people, prayer on its own requires energy. If we don't eat well our energy levels for ministry will be affected. I remember reading an article where Pastor Rick Warren baptized a lot of his church members, at that time he was overweight, after that day he determined to shed off weight otherwise the next baptism hr was not going to make it through. That's what I meant. God did not make our bodies for junk

Whilst discipline is good, I still strongly believe that some are blessed by God with strong healthy genes. I am in my 50's already struggling with using my recommended glasses, but my Dad just hut 90 years, drinks soft drinks plus loves Mcvities biscuits with all the sugar in it. He still reads the Bible without glasses. He eats everything, plus anytime Doesn't have diabetes or arthritis etc, only started loosing strength doesn't take long walks anymore or walk out of the compound, and loosing his hearing ability on one side of the ears. So inasmuch as I support eating and staying healthy, the koko of the matter is your faith and how God package you come. ***Some will do all he mentioned here, yet take canned foods and supplements with preservatives etc. These are chemical too ,with their own side/harmful effects to the body.

My wife grandma died few years ago at the age of 110, and u know what? I personally can not eat what that old woman cooked for no other reason than her food is so testy that no one who values his or her life will want to eat such. She can put 10 cubes of maggi in just a small soup, she uses white maggi to cook all her food, in fact if you cook and it wasn't to her test she will open 2 or more sachets of chocolate cowbell and pour them inside the soup or whatever it is she was eating just to make it very testy to her liking. Now here is the thing, she never had any thing calls high blood pressure, diabetes, neither did she visit hospital for one day on the account of her being sick. The only time she went to hospital was for her eyes and after the operation they gave her glasses and that was what she used till the day she died. She didn't die sick, she started acting and behaving like a kid and before they new it she gave up. 110years old she was at the time she died and she was very healthy and strong.

After following nutritionist instructions, my blood pressure normalized and I also lost 15kgs and still pressing on to reach my normal BMI. Congratulations pastor ,may God bless you dearly . The key take away from his message is reduce your sugar intake drastically, go low carbohydrate and do intermittent fasting by eating once or twice daily. No snacking. It’s all about reducing insulin hormone which promotes weight loss and fat burning. Protein and fat from meat spike insulin the least compared to carbohydrates, so don’t be afraid of meat. Follow the above steps and you will shed weight and reverse type 2 diabetes.

Pastor ashimolowo is very knowledgeable. He is 100 % right about southern Africans and beef. I am from the southern African region and beef is eaten in huge quantities because it has high levels of protein. We also keep a lot of cows it just for the beef but also the fresh milk which we like a lot. He looks very we indeed. Happy belated birthday sir.

We ask God to heal us from disease like diabetes and high blood pressure caused by poor food choices. It starts with what we put in our mouth. God gives us wisdom and a choice on how we treat our bodies. Praying and believing God to heal us while we continue to eat foods that make us happy and shorten our life is to disregard scripture that instructs us clearly and disregards the order of God.

Well, I celebrate the man of God and wish him more grace but I sincerely believe these things are relative. Yes, exercise, take caution, watch what you eat etc but still it depends on individual body system. My dad left this world around age 94 and he was 'consciously' doing none of these things. He truly was up and doing but didn't exercise bcos it was recommended, it was his lifestyle to expend energy daily just as most people would go about their daily duties. He took his dinner around 7:30 - 8pm since I knew him as a child and he worked with the American Embassy in Cote D'Ivoire for over 30 years as an African man. And by the way, his mum lived for over 100years! My point: do everything necessary to keep your health up and good for long but don''t live in fear of anything you did or didn't do.

I don't think you need to give up amala, eba, iyan, fufu or carbohydrate -rich foods to be fit and slim. Rather you need to eat them in moderation and at the right time and with ample vegetable. We are lucky in Africa/Nigeria that we eat organic food and live very active life.

@@wilsonidahor4078 Thanks for your response. Even European and American Aristocrats have 'stressors' or 'stress factors'. We live in a broken, sin -cursed world in which stress is pervasive but admittedly of the different types and levels in different countries. However, we need to emphasize balanced diet in Africa/Nigeria because it is cheap or accessible and affordable by everyone rich or poor. There are health or nutritional reasons why God creates vegetables and fruits for us but they go to massive waste in Nigeria despite the obvious effects of fruits and vegetable deficiency in our children.

@@pastoremmanuelinayim6317 I’m surprise you call yourself a Pastor though. First of all I have a relationship with Jesus. I’m not religious. Secondly because of the relationship the helper HE promised me the Holy Spirit gives me wisdom to live a great life and that includes a healthy life. Thank you Pastor. I wish you well though.

Keep on consuming junks and expect Grace to do it all. There is always what to do before God steps in. Faith without works is DEAD.

That's the problem of some Christians, can't balance the Word. Faith without works is useless. Keep eating junks and don't exercise and see what becomes of you
