Same here today only I was at 90 hours when I figured that out >_> Also found out today at 87.5 hours that you can navigate the affinity charts freely by using the right analog stick instead of L/R and left/right. Blew my mind.

did you ever get the pacifist bonus, then? i quickly learned you could attack, but it wasnt until after i got the pacifist secret achievement. My highest score is still on stage one (easy), getting both perfect and pacifist at the same time. a fun self challenge if you are grinding stage 1, but otherwise, ATTACK!

Over 60 hours of playing through the story and I completely ignored Poppi's unique traits. Those menus had me intimidated. I might just have to invest a lot of time in learning a lot more before finishing the game.

Yeah, Tiger Tiger is just way too frustrating to play, I'd rather just use Gold to buy those ether crystals

Very good video, but you forgot one bonus for the stages. This only applies if you get a perfect run, which is no damage, all crystals and all chests. If, on top of that, you defeated every enemy, you get ANOTHER bonus and your score will go well over 100k. However, just beating all the enemies doesn't give you a bonus, so if you missed one just forget about it.

Hawelo92 it is actually the opposite. If you beat the stage without killing anything, you get a massive bonus. Not sure if you get a similar bonus if you do kill all. Had to do that to unlock a skill for poppi alpha

You need to kill every monster on top of getting all other bonuses, otherwise you won't get the bonus. I've actually never tried not killing anything, I'll do that next time I play TT.

Hawelo92 Really? That's new for me. Good to know atleast, that's easier than dodging everything in the late stages.

I remember I had Poppi alpha equipped with the Master Tank Mod and that one shield mod that gives her a 50% chance to negate all damage on a blocked attack, plus she had, like, a 90% block rate. Her and Tora were nearly untouchable lol! I just hated how much I had to play Tiger Tiger to get that though, haha

Thank you for this video. I played Tiger! Tiger! a few times throughout my XC2 playthrough & never went back to it. After watching your video, I'm going to be spending a bit of time playing it for a while until I'm satisfied with what parts I acquired then I can use Poppi to her fullest potential ^_^

just figured this out recently myself; when you're in the menu to create parts press Y to switch to crystallize

Great video! As much as I like Tiger Tiger, I find myself not spending too much time on it due to how repetitive it can be. But stuff like this really helps, especially since I've been holding off on upgrading Poppi for a while now. =) I just want to add something you missed: Stage one and stage two(at the very least) have the potential to give you not just one, but TWO secret rooms in a single run. I'm assuming that stages three to five are like this as well, but because I haven't really played Tiger Tiger enough, so I can't confirm whether or not they do. And since it has been a while, I can't remember which side of the room the secret room is on in stage one, but in stage two it was on the left side after the first secret room which was on the right.

Can confirm that multiple instances of bonus areas are possible in the latter stages. Though I have yet to encounter such an arrangement, I do believe it is theoretically possible for a stage to have up to three instances of a bonus area's map segment, considering that there tends to be precisely two chests in every discreet segment not including the constant top and bottom ends (which together have their own pair of chests to collect), leaving three potential slots for that particular map segment to spawn. Additional information regarding the bonus areas specifically can be found here: imgur.com/a/XkDeD Some of this information has been mentioned in the video already, but the album predates it by a few days and is comprehensive enough on the subject to make me feel it would be of great use here.

having reached the post game i've found myself being forced back into tiger tiger.

I actually played a lot of Tiger Tiger (it reminds me a bit at the Commodore 64 / Amiga age)...but just now I heard about those secret areas. Good thing there's the Internet now and guys like you who share the secrets

QTπ is the best blade in terms of DPS. She is pretty unrivaled :) I whish I had found your video 1 month ago, when I was looking for the Light Mod :)

I really like Poppi, but I'm just not a fan of arcade style games. I just want Poppi to not be worse than Morag, but I don't want to have to play a silly, difficult, minigame over and over just to make it happen.

I've never tried the easy mode because I thought the normal mode brought better items, more cristals and a higher score.... What a loss of time T_T

Yeah the Gormott vendor in NG+, also all master mods and light core for poppi are for sell from vendors in the final 2 worlds, they are pricey but I have alot to burn. I guess the developers realized just how hated Tiger Tiger is when you need specific parts.

Yes! Oh good! I have barely even worked on each Poppi aside from the affinity chart, so this will save a lot of time since I can buy it all in new game plus! I'm glad that I found this out now! I just started working on Poppi. I guess it ended up working out that I started after playing 190 hours. Haha!

Ive been needing to upgrade Poppi a, qt, and qtpi. This was very helpful i didn't know about the secret area in area 4 and 5 and I didn't know you can only get master modes in the 5 level

This changes everything!

I've gotten perfect runs of every stage, giving me 60k+ points. And stage 5 just sits there with 20k~ points. Absolutely maddening, honestly.

Thanks for this tutorial, really helped me. Just wanted to add one thing : if you end one stage without killing any Monster, you are rewarded with a secret medal giving you like 50k points (I personnaly got all 5 medals in one run on stage 1 easy with 180k+ points)

I just started xenoblade chronicles 2. And I was loving it until I noticed a it had a Galaga type mini game. Hopefully this helps me to like this minigame bc I love poppi

God DAM this saves a lot of problems for me, play easy for ether and play stage 5 for parts...great

I never upgrade Poppi. I always just used Tora as a meat shield and it always worked.

There is a hidden 5th achievement for not killing any enemies! That adds a shit ton of points as well especially getting all 5 achievements!

I don't know how to beat stage 1. I get to the bottom grab a chest and a red fish kills me

Do you need all of the books to get access to the master mods? I think I skipped the forth one, but got the last one in the world tree. I've been running stage five on easy mode a bunch for them, but I've only gotten basic level 1-3 (maybe 4) parts that are pretty much useless. Thanks!

You only need the Technical Manuals to craft items, as you can't craft Master Mods, you don't need them, but they're still handy if you have spare Ether Crystals and you want something

there are 2 messages shown in the game that tell you somewhat "your drops in tiger tiger have increased!" or something like that. after the second one you will be able to get the master mods :)

I just found two secrets area in one row in stage 3, and I managed to get all the chests and crystals without getting hit, I earned about 5600 crystals in total.

This is EASILY my least favorite part of the game... I always thought that easy mode gave you less rewards, so i started playing on normal... 32 attempts later(!) i finally got through the first stage, only to realize how many times i would have to do it for any noteworthy rewards! I wish i looked this up before giving up... So, i basicly went through the entire game with Tora and normal Poppi as a tank, which made boss fights and rare monsters take forever, but Tora still worked perfectly fine as a tank...

It's actually possible to get TWO secret areas to spawn. Just got it in stage 2.
