Much obliged! Prior to watching this video, the possible word choices in my somewhat big vocabulary weren't that big, but right after I've witnessed that big, 14-minute long, lesson - the not so big list of daily expressions was vastly improved to very big, via adding a plethora of exciting synonyms, which altogether had a big impact on me. Big thanks for that!

We couldn't even think of THREE other ways to say BIG, let alone 12! Thank you, Harry! Can you do one for "very" as well? The word "very" is overused and it would be so great to learn alternatives!

Harry didn't say that there was something wrong with "big". He is doing us a favor teaching eloquent English, so if that's too much for you to swallow, stay limited and scroll down

I'm not a native English speaker but let me share my thoughts... There's nothing wrong with the word "big," but it's always useful to have alternatives to express an idea. Surely the same thing happens in your mother tongue. You know, it's not good to use the same words and expressions over and over again (especially if you're writing). Moreover, “big” is considered a basic word and is disliked in academia. So if you're writing something like an essay for an English proficiency exam, you're expected to use a different word. I hope this helps.
