    I first became fascinated with the cliff dwellings as a school kid back in the early 60's. All we had back then was photos in text books and National Geographic. It seems so much more real and alive on video. Thanks for taking this old guy along on a vicarious trip of a lifetime.

    It looks like you have been blessed with a wonderful and fun family. What more can you ask for other than reimbursement for food😂. Last year, my son and I had the pleasure to meet you in PA before your departure for UA (I was the guy that brought honey from my local hives). I want to thank you again for your kindness and grace when I’m sure you were quite busy. My son still very much appreciates the keychain you gave him off your keys to the S10 and signing his TJ grill(the grill I was going to use on my next build but is now on his wall).

    3:00 Not a window. Probably a hole to support a log for a roof. You should probably skate over to Mesa Verde or Hovenweep and look at the complete structures and how they were built. Blanding is about halfway between Moab and Monument Valley. It'a a decent basecamp if you're going to places like Hovenweep, Natural Bridges, Monument Valley, the bottom portion of Canyonlands, etc.

  • @legendarytrails
    @legendarytrails6 күн бұрын

    Someone must have fixed Arch Canyon. The last time we tried it (Fall 2023), it was washed out and impassable. We'll have to go back sometime soon. Also, I'm not sure if you're aware, but for future reference, when it comes to native sites, Walls and rock alignments should be observed, not touched. Rock and adobe walls are fragile and in a constant state of deterioration. Don’t climb, sit, step, lean, or stand on the walls." It's better not to enter a site and to take only pictures/videos from the outside when possible. Just something to keep in mind for future sites.
