SQ is singapore pride man! each time i see SQ in any foreign country especially when i am home sick, it feels like i am so close to home! but when it comes to service, i still think emirates takes the cake!

As a teenager who is still learning to create flight review videos on KZread, this video really helped me a lot to understand a few things especially the part where both of you shared your thoughts about flight testimonials. From there I managed to (even deeper) understand how big a testimonial is to an airline and the crew. I've been experiencing many memorable flights on SilkAir and SQ. Both are, to be honest, one of the few airlines that opened my mind and eyes to the world. Well - usually after flight I appreciated the crew by taking pictures with them, hahaha. That was actually a spontaneous idea, but I just wanted to share it so that in the future, it will be a long-lasting memory for me. Sometimes memories like that are my mood booster. Finally, I can do nothing but to praise you for making this video, and to thank you for making this. From here I got to know deeper about many aviation-related things (especially from the crew's POV) that I used to have next to no knowledge about. For me, this video is a real class.

I have never taken QR flight, but my best flying experience is with SQ. I went to South Korea a lot for business trip and have tried some airlines. The last time I went to SK was for vacation, I used SQ, and it was my first time with SQ. The best service, the tastiest food, the most comfortable seat, and the greatest entertainment system. Really enjoyed the flight although needed to transit in Singapore :)

That's why I always smile and say "thank you" to every FA whom I meet before I get off from airplane to the arrival gate because I know they use a lot of efforts to keep an eye on their passenger's safety issue. :)

Very interesting & insightful. I'm sorry to admit that i think sq'service has declined for past few yrs b4 corona because some stewardess that i met gave quite cold/not attentive service (sorry jeanette). Didnt know about the testimonies thing, maybe during flight could be informed to the passengers. And the thieves too, gonna be careful the next time i do long flight (after corona).

I still remember the steward from SQ when I went to Seoul 2 years ago from SG. He's really nice, I asked for water and other little things several times but he always serves with smile and when I said thank you when I got off from airplane, he replied me in Bahasa Indonesia and asked 'you're Indonesian right?' :)) it was memorable for me, haha. can't wait to watch your next video Jeanette

Have flown SQ on both short haul as well as the current longest flight...JFK/SIN (18 hrs) The bottom line is consistent quality service. On other airlines you may have good experiences or not depending on the crew. SQ has always been superb and my go to airline whenever possible.

Regarding the testimonial, I received an email from SIA. Do you think my testimonial will reach these two staff? I did not check their names unfortunately cause I didn't know the airline would ask me after the flight online for one. So, I wonder if my testimonial would actually count for these two persons directly as I could not name them but I did say the date and flight number, and my seat number (all the way at the back). I made a description of the two persons, that they work as a team cause I believe the steward was very new. I had a flight AMS-SIN recently end of Sept 2022 and return Oct 2022, and had a pleasant talk to two crew, a steward and a stewardess. This 12-13 hr flight was a bit long for me, as I usually can not sleep in flight, so I stood at the galley near the door, as I didn't want to stand in the way. Normally therefore I take two short flights with a stop in the middle east, often Qatar or Emirates. We got to talk a little and they told me a bit of their working life experience and the steward was only 22 years and worked so hard, he ran up and down the narrow aisle from the galley to the serving tray that was being run through the aisle adding supplies. He told me he had just started working (and I assume just out of Army), and that he was saving to buy a flat in SG, and I wished him good luck in life. I lived in SG for 24 years prior to this flight, so I knew how important it was to own a flat. The stewardess upon hearing that before Covid I normally took 2x 7hrs flight with mostly Qatar, told me that she actually was with Qatar before joining SQ. I quietly assumed she was retrenched during the Covid period, and I was happy to see she joined SQ, and I told her people now want to fly again, told her that I was happy to see an almost full flight, as this means more jobs available for crew. I suspect the stewardess was coaching the young steward as they worked together. Both worked very hard, and went up and down to the galley to bring food to the passengers who were pushing the call buttons. I really hope my testimonials will help these two excellent people!

Though I am not a Singaporean (I was born in Indonesia and my grandma's family did live in Singapore in the 1920's, and I still have some relatives there) I felt homesick after leaving the SQ flight after returning to AMS and also listening to to music from when I started work in SG in 1994 onwards.....

I shall remind myself to write testimonials... I've met so many nice stewardesses in my life traveling around and I didn't know it was helpful or rather where I could write it to. Min, please share if there's like a feedback column on a website or something or is it all can just hand letters to you and it works the same way?

OH HOOOO!! Good one!! So for SQ (as I can only speak for our airline), we can either give a feedback after a flight through an email and sending it into HR, or service department! Or, after every flight, a random survey can be sent to you through email, so remember to just complete that and it will help the crew a lot!!! ☺️

If i had an luggage by LV will they break my lock and take my other branded good's like ect.... card holder , wallet , bag which are still brand new if i just bought it what is the best way to keep it safe ?

The best way is to always have it near you, or if you leave it in the overhead bin, to regularly check on it! YES... there is really a lot... please always be careful :(

HAHAHAHAH it’s just sg to jarkata. I was on the flight from the UK to SG and on a A380 the IFE broke down then. All passengers on board the SQ flight couldn’t use the IFE. It was horrible. I sat there for 14 hrs straight doing nothing.

How the crew member know they, the passangers are thief? What the crew member do if it's true.

I flew a few times from the US to Taipei. After the food service, all the passengers went to "sleep". The crew also went to sleep as well. There's a skeleton crew to support the passengers. Does SQ and QR allowed crews to take turns to sleep on long flights ? TIA

Short haul flight for SQ(not sure about other airlines) does not have a crew rest and neither do they take turns to sleep. But long haul yes, there is 2 sets of crew taking turns to rest in the crew bunk

I guess all public transportation have one common thing, thieves on board

Never fly Qatar Airlines but i ever hear about how good this Airline, like the service, food, and many more. In other hand i have fly with SQ and it's almost the same. So if i need to chose SQ or QR i can't chose because it's similar.

Flew QR once and never did again cause service sucks big time!!! We skipped the lunch they served cause had just eaten before boarding and then got hungry some time later and asked for snack. They took more than half hour to give me a microwaved pastry but said no to my husband with the excuse that tea will be served very shortly. The "very shortly" turned out to be almost 2 hours later!!!
