I think Hoshina is more angry at himself for ignoring his own instincts and suspicions. Given that the typical Defense Force response to kaiju is shoot first, taking Kafka into custody is in itself an acknowledgment that he saved them and an extension of trust to some degree. I’m looking forward to seeing how much they squeeze into those last two episodes because this was the ending of the first “arc” of the manga, so we’ll be dipping our toes into the next narrative section.

Loved that those random soldiers immediate reaction to seeing a literal massive bomb was “maybe we shoot it” lmao, COME ON GUYS 🤣 This reveal went hard in the manga and it went equally hard animated. We got 2 episodes left, and the foot isn’t coming off the gas pedal JUST yet 😁

Great reaction but thing I get pretty tired of is people being concerned over how much time is left in the episode. It just takes you completely out of the moment. Like, just enjoy it. If it ends it ends. It’ll continue next episode….

Oh we’re still in the moment! We just get really invested and don’t want the episode to end, especially with Kaiju since these cliffhangers have been killing us lol
