We are back this week on Jumah Nights with Mohamed Ali who is starting a new series in relation to the Tafsir of the Qur’an. In line with the Divine Wisdom of Allah (swt) beginning His Book in His Name, we take some time to explore the Basmalah (bismillahir rahmanir raheem) from linguistic, exegetical and narration-based angles to better understand the introduction to the Qur’an! As always, this series aims to give the basic tools of being able to start our journey towards understanding the Qur’an while not aiming to present an exegesis as such.
