I was cutting/removing the seal on hydraulic fluid/oil and needed a better way than to gunk up my GOOD knife blade. It was all I had on me this day.
10W-30 is what the Owner's Manual for this New Holland LS170 requires for the hydraulic systems.

Just have a second knife you keep clean if you want a knife to eat with. I have my beater for working with and I have a SAK for food things. Handy slicey blade, used it a few days ago to split a burrito with my partner when we were out for example. Easy to maintain and I don't have to feel precious about my main knife.

That particular day I only my "good" knife on me. But the philosophical debate remains - why would you carry a "bad" knife? Do you carry a "good" & a "bad" knife? Now you have 2...This is the one I had on me, and this was my solution for the day - tomorrow will be different. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
Those "nubs" are for your thumb to flick the blade open one-handed,

This is a spring assisted open knife - you can use the nubs to open, but the spring is SOO much more fun!!

@@TooManyHobbiesNotEnoughTime Yes, I understand that. I have that particular knife and a bunch more from Kershaw. I pull mine out of my pocket and flick it open one-handed by pushing the "nub" with my thumb as it clears my pocket. Quick as a swithblade.
From the 'Snowflake Generation'...surprised he didn’t also need a 'Safe Space' to open in...
