SECRET BUNKER underground for survival. 3 days in the wild. Part 13

#houseunderground #bunker #shelter
Hi! On this trip, I went to the forest alone. I spent three whole days in the forest and built my huge house underground. I made a sewer, I made a door. I think this will be an educational video for you, dear viewers!

    Wish I still had all the energy you do... would make my own `fort' like I used to as a kid... ;0) Still recommend you put something over those windows when gone... to prevent inadvertant damage like a large stick or even someone falling into and breaking one. I also recommend digging a big hole underneath the drain outlet and fill with coarse stone - like a `french drain'. Helps promote drainage!

    A nice video and the underground house is amazing. I really like how you pay special attention to fit and finish. It looks really good. Kind of funny too when you wanted to write good morning on the fogged window and messed up a bit with the letter N, which is H in the Cyrillic alphabet. It is really confusing and in addition there are letters that are only found in the Cyrillic alphabet. A name such as Vera is therefore written Вера. This is of course no obstacle once you know the difference, but before you get that far it is really confusing :)

    I love your countryside. It looks much like my home state in the US. I also like your pipe brush for cleaning the chimney, Burning Pine will always build soot in your chimney, be sure to brush it out regularly. It is possible to cause a chimney fire. As for the house, If I could get a piece of land that is what I would do to live in full time. I love the outdoors and forest more than living in a regular house or an apartment. Have fun and Please make more videos. Oh, by the way, your meals look wonderful. If I weren't allergic to Onions I would make some of your meals for myself.

    Greetings from Australia Alex, l love your videos and your beautiful underground home. l have a wood heater, had it for many years. l am getting too old 75 to get up on the roof and dismantle the flue and clean it and l am a bit lazy lol. l have found if l throw an empty aluminum can into the fire while it's going and leave the can to burn down to nothing, no need to clean the flu. Been doing this little trick once a year, l haven't had any problems, in the past 4 years, no build up of soot, but l must admit l only burn dry wood. Could be a problem where you live in the cold forests. Thank you.

  • @lgun1
    @lgun17 ай бұрын

    Alex, if you can find something other than pine to burn in your stove, the pipe won't get plugged up. It looks like there isn't much else in that area for fire wood, but if you can find something else, it will be much better.

    Chimney wasn't clogged enough to limit airflow. But it's hard to get a high chimney going when it's quite tall and filled with cold air, and no draft at the top. Needs more heating or forced air/warm air to get going, that's why it took awhile. (but yes, also needed some cleaning to avoid chimney fire eventually.).

  • @ionnmaur277

    Also, try to restrict the use of conifer wood (like pine or spruce) in the stove as they have a higher content of resins and thus produce more creosote when burning. Creosote can cause chimney fires and may clog it faster. Though deciduous wood doesn't burn as hot as conifer, it burns a bit cleaner. You can start the fire with kindling from pine, but turn to, for instance, birch, rowan, alder, sallow, willow or what have you when you have a good blaze going.

    What a beautiful area for your underground cabin. I have loved watching this build. I hope people leave this one alone. An easy way to clean your stovepipe is this: make asmall bal b of loose chain, tie it onto a rope and drag it up and down the pipe. It how I clean my chimney for my house woodstove. Works amazingly well. Make sure its a loose ball of chain.

    All that saw dust is what I would use to help get a fire going in the stove. My dad taught me not to waste anything in camping. Use up whatever I can to survive in my camp. I'm not sure how true it is but I trust what my daddy said. I miss him every day. He passed away in 1996 when I was 16 and I miss asking him questions and advice. I do go to my brother but it's not the same. I miss my daddy telling me that I am his little girl and his fishing buddy. But such is life.
