Bob and team just nonchalantly building the most epic gaming rig to probably ever exist. This thing when it all came together really blew my mind. Really great project

Nah. Controls are too close to the monitor, it's a bad setup that doesn't even have VRR (emulation on flat panels without VRR is a joke). It's a beginner's setup at best.

This is insanely cool and looks more feasible than a lot of arcade coffee table builds I have seen

@@youtubesuresuckscock Totally not trying to argue here, just curious and based on your comment it seems like you may be an enthusiast when it comes to this. I really like this setup but the distance from the screen concerns me now that you mention it. Looking at the plans it appears that it is about 24.25 inches front to back before sliding out the arcade joystick part. One of the rooms I'd like to put something like this in has a 29 inch clearance if I were to remove the door from the henges. So I think that I could easily modify this and make it 1-2 inches longer front to back (would probably go with just 1 inch). Provided that I can find a slider that is an extra inch, and that it can support the weight of an extra inch added to the control board (what the board fitted with arcade sticks is called in the plans), I should be able to get up to an extra 3 inches distance from the screen. In your opinion is that still not enough distance from the screen? I understand that that can differ based on the size of the tv but it seemed like you felt this way in general. Also as for VRR, once again you probably know more about this than me, but could something like a hub to plug all the older consoles into combined with one single output going to a retrotink 5x pro not fix that?

I was always taught that with melamine boards to put some masking tape over the area to be cut before you make your line, it helps prevent splintering and chipping off the finish on the boards when you actually cut it!

You need proper melamine blade and scoring blade as well

There is also a pre cut from 1-2mm to cut the melamine layer ;) Then cut again. This makes the cut much proper :)

There’s also a product called Seamfil made by Kampel. Their white (901) is a good match for white melamine.

I appreciate this
Love the casual augmented reality in the intro. Keep making us all better, Bob!
Those AR renderings of the cabinet/TV at the start of the video are just next level! Love them!

Science truly has gone too far.
Turned out amazing! That subtle outside shell really makes the piece look classy. This will be on my build list, can’t wait for the plans. I’ve been trying to figure out for awhile on how to make an arcade cabinet work and not just sit in the room and be in the way, this is perfect. Thank you for always creating!

No, shes just a dog bc the culture forces her to have to accept some guy that will make her clean everything and do the petty tasks in life while he plays with toys and she can't argue bc he makes fuck loads of money
Bob I just gotta say I’ve been watching your videos for almost a decade. I enjoy watching your hair turn gray while I am finishing college. I really don’t have words, you’ve inspired me with many projects I hope you’ve enjoyed making these videos.
Great project, Bob and team! Best hidden arcade cabinet I have ever seen. I feel your videos and projects have started going to a whole new level recently. I am quite impressed!
I absolutely love your arcade series, I am literally in the process of completing my first bar top arcade cabinet based on the design principles that you show in your videos. I have designed everything myself, built up a really cool frame with just a jigsaw and a drill, and have worked out all the software sides, and wiring as well. I should be done tomorrow which is really exciting on my end. Thanks so much for the inspiration on everything and keep up the good work! Also I’m only 15!

Awesome, I was just looking around Pinterest and image searches for "stealth arcade" because I wanted something out of the way, but with some utility. Perfect timing, m'sir!

@@cyrus3055 Funny, that was actually the first example I saw that made me think it was possible! The only difference is that I want to do a 4-player version (with two extra controllers for X-Men). I already have all the buttons and joysticks and controller boards as well as a plasma on a 90° rotating wall mount for vertical scrolling shooters and pinball.

Great timing on this video. I am in a new house and looking at how I want to put up TV's and hide stuff. I LOVE the pin hole jig. I did not know about this so I have had to purchase those piece pre-made which has limits and increases cost. That thing is so easy. And yes, that wood is Heavy but I made built shelves and a door for a under staircase basement closet. Worked great.
So glad you guys did this. I found your channel when you did a regular arcade cabinet awhile ago, and it gave me the idea of making an arcade cabinet where I can plug in my old retro consoles for an all in one sorta like this. It'll be my first big project as soon as I'm in my own space and have the space for it lol. Keep up the great work!
You and your team are doing such a great job, especially with the graphics in the opening - well done!
I was waiting to see you open the analog video switch and jumper that to the LED controls, so the cabinet lights up thematically with the chosen console. I dont think Ive ever wanted to build something more than I do right now! Thanks Bob!
I recently bought a garage to set up a workshop with a game/cinema room at the end to hang out with friends and family. I was planning on building a batocera powered arcade, then display my old consoles next to it on an old ikea glass cabinet I have around. But man... This inspired the idea of building my own console displaying cabinet with a hidden retrogaming setup. Now I'll have to sleep over it because I really like both ideas!!
I really like the transition between the natural wood look on the outside and the laminated white
Awesome! Beautiful and sturdy. Very nice, thanks for sharing with us!
Great job, Bob and team! Looks awesome!!
Like a handsome, unassuming Transformer residing casually in your house. Ready to animate when you’re ready to play. Very cool!
Loving the addition of 3D models and graphics/animations of the project that have been popping up in videos!
OK, this is one of the most fantastic things you guys have done. I have been subscribed for a while now and love your channel. Thank you for all the cool stuff you do. I will go watch the live stream you did of the electronic stuff. Thank you again.
I have most of my consoles that I grew up with but I've never had a good way to display them in a way that allowed them to be playable. I've also loved the idea of MAME cabinets since I first heard of them a few years ago but I've never had space for one where it made sense. This piece solves both of those problems beautifully!!! AND it has functioning drawers, AND it has cable management, AND THE SHELVES ARE ADJUSTABLE!!! I need to learn some new skills so I can make one for myself!
Wow, very impressed!
I Just Love that Cabinet
I appreciate that you guys have been experimenting with different music for these videos.. or at least different genres.
Amazing build!!! What a great idea and it looks perfect.
This is such a rad build!! Also really loved that gaming table project.
So awesome!
This is an absolutely amazing idea that I think will now be on my bucket list to make.
That is REALY cool!
This Arcade cabinet you made is Awesome
That looks so cool!
This is awesome!!!
Great video. You could put a piece of 1x2 just below the controllers slider lip linking those two blue drawer slide tabs. This would allow a single person to press it down and free both slides.
I think this is one of the best things you have built. Great job - and I’m not a big video game player.
This cabinet is incredible! Awesome job.
This is really cool and the best looking 4 player cabinet. It blends in and is multifunctional. Look into the bezel project if you haven't before. It adds nice borders with artwork or cabinet art around the unused portion of the retro games.
Incredible build! God bless you and yours!
This is absolutely amazing!
Easily one of your best projects. nice design and great function, Nice work!!!
The production quality of these videos is next level.
So going to do this in my new games room, have some old consoles that I will display- then use a raspberry pi or mini PC to run Retro Games. Can’t wait to build this 😁
The 3D visuals are awesome, wonderful addition to the content.
Great project; very well presented and the finished thing is a work of art.
I love this thing more than anything in the world. It is not practical in a regular livingroom / couch setting as the tv is placed waaaay to high, but extremely awesome.
That turned out really nice. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what a great arcade/gaming cabinet. My brother has recently bought some retro consoles and is looking at storage options. I'm sending him this video.
This is beyond cool. I'm trying to think of something worthy of this video but I can't. Well done Bob and the Team.
I am definitely gonna build this. Nice job Bob.
Super cool y’all! Well done! And thanks for answering my question on the livestream 🙂
Hands down a legendary setup, Congratulations on the channel growth, keep going!!!!
Great video - loved the 3D render bit at the start, that was impressive.
I have been dreaming of something like this. Thank you for designing it for me
This is too awesome!
This is such a cool build
This is one of your coolest videos yet!
loving the 3D models superimposed on the shot right next to Bob!!
I love this project
That looks awesome
Nicely done! When working with melamine in the future - you can get even stronger joints by using Confirmat screws and you can even glue the melamine laminate edge to the particle board interior material and get a strong bond if you use Roo-Glue brand adhesive for melamine. I built a cabinet for my two Prusa MK3S printers and while I *wanted* to use plywood, I couldn't justify the $90 price tag (at the time), so I bought melamine which was only $30! For sure though - those actual Confirmat screws an the Roo-Glue made the difference between a so-so cabinet and a *really sturdy* cabinet.
Short of the hidden arcade portion, this is pretty much my setup, though I just used an Ikea Kallax for the shelving and put a desk top for the top as my desk area. Great work!
Bought the plans! While I dont need the arcade controls, i have been trying to figure out a way to have all my classic consoles on display and rigged for play. Id love to see a variant that swaps the area with the arcade deck for drawers or another shelf. Even if not i could always just make it as planned and make the flip top a hidden shelf. Thanks!
Saying I loved this project is an understatement. I want to make something just like this.
Awesome!!!
Great video Bob
That is a great project!
this was so amazing. love the videos
A very cool project.
This is one of the coolest arcade builds ever! Such an awesome idea!
Oh the bloopers are always fun to watch...
THAT is SUPERCOOOOOOL.....!!! you're superhero of these things, wish I can make something like this sometime, it's a dream ❤️
So cool!! Could put a bar across in the middle connecting the 2 tabs to extend/retract the slides to one person can just lift from the middle.
This is my new favorite video. I so want one of these in my house.
Dang! Going to be hard to top this masterpiece! Well done!
Absolutely fantastic!
Wow, Nostalgia! This is an amazing thing! Not just one, but there are other consoles.
Such a really cool build! Love it!

Hey I recommended the secret arcade cabinet! Glad you guys went for it!
This is so cool! It'd be awesome to have when we have our large annual get together but I don't think there is any room for it. Great project though! It turned out great. I love the graphics on the inside of the arcade portion, and the convenient wire management.
That's badass.
Very special...... congratulations
This is Absolutely Awesome and I would love to have this and have every gaming console ever on it and call it my Ultimate,Entertainment,System,
this music felt new. like it!
This is so freaking cool.
That looks great!
This looks amazing! Excellent job. I do have questions though. Is the spacing between each player comfortable throughout a play session? And, what size of tv would you reccomend for this setup? Did the size of the one you have on the wall bother anybody while playing. Thanks for creating such cool and inspiring content!
