I had the same problem 5:30 in MSc degree. I studied BSc and I was top of class getting 3.9/4 cumulative GPA, when I started my MSc at Politecnico di Milano (known for its rigorous academic system) I saw many students failing courses, but I believed in my self and never compare myself to anyone, and here I am about to graduate with very good grades and research experience! Always keep in your mind that you are really good and you will perform exceptionally well and don't wait for anyone to judge you. You are definitely one of the top students, you have a very good study habit, and you are away from bad habits (drinking alcohol and so on, actually it is even banned in my religion Islam), just believe in yourself and never compare yourself with others. Also, I really like the fact that you are enjoying the learning process itself and not searching for grades only. Although you are 5 years younger than me, but I still learn so many things from you. I hope next year to be admitted to Cambridge as a PhD student! 🌹

if you get a 2:1 in oxbridge it's no luck but hard work. Moreover, even in Oxbridge, grading is much fairer than at many unis of other countries. I actually downloaded some exam sheets from the other place (where I also have aquaintance), and I have to say that they measure your actual knowledge quite accurately.

What if we taught children that tests were a way to see how much we learn? What if we were able to get them excited about taking them? These were some ideas my older brother told me about, and I think that people's tactics for exams would change. Also, congrats!

Such an unusual grading system! We needed 60% to pass an exam and you got an A (the best mark) around 90%.

Uni exams are hard in the uk, often problems you haven't seen before (based on the content covered in lectures but you still have to think on your feet and apply it properly). They also scale the marks as paige said so in phys A and maths methods (two of the modules she did) they normally scale the marks down so about 80% raw=70%(depending on how the cohort did).

Wait, so did I get this right? The grading system in the UK is relative to the other students? So you might do really well, but because everyone else also did really well, you still only get an average grade? I would have never guessed. Here in Germany where I study (just successfully finished my second semester of aerospace engineering, yay!), your grades are basically absolute, if you get X% of the possible maximum score on the exam, you get the corresponding grade, no matter how much everybody else got. Like if you get at least 95%, you get a 1.0, between 90% and 95% you get a 1.3 and so on. Really not sure which system I would prefer, on the one hand, if you are just "unlucky" and get a class full of really good students in the UK system, you might get an average or bad grade even though you did pretty well, just everyone else did better. On the other hand, in our system if the exam is just really hard one year because the professor misjudged the difficulty, everyone ends up with a bad grade where in the UK system you would still get a good grade if you just did better then your peers.

I've left out some details, scores aren't quite this set in stone here either if the exam was a catastrophe for everyone. For example teachers/professors can change the percentages a bit, so that for example you don't need the usual 40% to pass but only 35%, etc. Or they can change how many points you get for some of the questions, to make the hard ones less important. But it still happens that you end up with something like our Mathematics I exam in the first semester, where the average grade was 4.1, which is actually bellow what you need to pass (4.0).

Congratulations! Self-doubt can be a double-edged sword: if you dwell on it too much it can wear you down; but, it can also be a driver for your success, if it makes you non-complacent. I will bet that your classmates have similar doubts, so you are not alone. However, if it gets you really down, you could always speak with a counsellor on campus. I found that getting out with my mates and taking breaks really helped.
