@@SamHurdPhoto that's right I went in looking to upgrade my sony a7rii as I was saying a dealbreaker for me not having a feature like that, it's only from the a7ii onwards and not all have it
I really loved that this was like a REAL wedding. Not just a “destination/perfect/elopement/bucket list” wedding in REAL locations, not ideal light all the time etc Really appreciated this video.

'tis the reality for almost every wedding! it's actually a rare surprise whenever i get perfect light AT the right time, haha.

Let these be free please. Everyone always puts a price on things but I always appreciate this. Plus we pay them indirectly by watching their videos, interacting, and ads.
This dude is so calm and professional 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Only halfway through but this video is so freaking good. You couldn’t ask for a better behind the scenes wedding video. Nice to see where Sam gets his creative fuel. Thanks Taco Bell.
I am just soaking up every minute of this. This is wonderful, an excellent look into a day with Sam. Also petition to name the conference "The Workshop That We Still Don't Have a Name For" Workshop.

Holy crap. This video was fire. So many little nuggets of knowledge. I love how simple he keeps his setup too and how he explained his thought process.
looking at this video this is who I want to be when I get older. I really like he uses creative styles and doesn't just take the normal pictures!!!
Bless you, both. Taylor for the great shooting/editing/flow and Sam for letting us come along. Made my day.
I think its so important to capture the random things in their homes! Love that you shoot stuff like those flowers for them! Also, not being super strict about the schedule is so key! Love your mindset with that!
This is amazing! Thank you so much for making this video accessible! A great way to start seeing how shooting weddings could be like!
Man.. you guys are suckers… for making this free ❤️ Thanks for this, loved it
This is really great, and is getting the creative juices flowing for my summer weddings! Thanks for the awesome behind the scenes video and the excellent commentary from Sam!
Thank you so much for this. You're one of the only creators I've seen that will expose other creatives through you're own channel. Love both of you guys work ! Sam is incredibly creative with his images and thought process 🤞🏽 when you're in New York I got a few pizza spots for yaa
This is super helpful!!! It's always great to see how other photographers work.
really nicely done and what a thoughtful process he has....enjoyed it...thanks to you both!
Really, genuinely enjoyed this. Sam was so easy going and doesn’t have the “wedding photographer” look. I love it. The photos were beautiful and the fun setups were awesome.
This was an epic video. I loved every ounce of this video. Thank you so much for your time you put into this mini document.
i’ve watched a ton of photography videos but i’ve never loved every single photo taken like i did in this video. i felt like your choice of B&W was also perfect for the photos taken. I’m a beginner photographer but I aspire to take photos as great as you do some day :)
VERY keen to see this! Thanks for the upload!!!!! 🎉
**chandler voice** could he BE anymore chilled?? Love it. Such a calm presence on the day and some awesome pics to go with it. Great video as ever!
Thanks so much for this video, so helpful and possibly the best behind the scenes video from a wedding I've seen so far.
Very cool video as someone who has been shooting weddings for 12 years and burnt out (moving on to commercial photography) this was a refreshing video because you pretty much have my same laid back style of shooting and I appreciate that you still love doing it
I love this video, love the back light idea too and shooting through holes etc. Thank you Sam x
Thank you for such an in depth video! Sam Hurd does amazing work!
Yooo this was super inspiring and love seeing the creative thought process. Thanks for the tips given throughout the shoot.
I’ve been to so many workshops and two with Sam Hurd as a speaker. He’s always the nicest, most approachable and helpful photographer at those things. He stands out from many famous wedding photographers with how much he is genuinely passionate about the craft itself.
Thanks A LOT for this video, amazing content , great advices coming from Sam and great photos !!
Love this. Thank you so much for all you do.
I really felt how happy they were. and the creative portraits wow!
This is so wonderful and inspiring! Thank you both!
Thank you so much, Taylor and Sam! Awesome tips and behind the scenes! ❤
Thanks Taylor & Sam - that was awesome! Useful and FUN as always! You guys rock
I have been lucky to both learn under Sam during one his workshops, the ability to have him capture mine and my fiances photos, and he is one of the calmest people to learn from and know. So cool to see you two work together!
he seems like such a chill dude, also looooved this location, would be a dream to shot at venues like that
Amazing detailed explanatory video! As a starting event photographer I find myself doubting if it’s a perfect shot or worth their money, this video has gave me the confidence to stop over thinking and be the best I could be from now on
Love this episode. Those details from experience are real helpful. Thanks!
I've been waiting for this for long time ... Big fan of Sam Hurd thank you TY ❤️
Thank you so much, Taylor, for all your amazing content. My first wedding is tomorrow and I've literally been consuming your videos nonstop for 2 weeks straight. I know my skills as an artist are on point, but I'm a serious introvert and that has been my biggest hang up. You have given me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and just get out of my own way. I'm so grateful for just everything!

really loved all the things....the creative photos and your chill storytelling kind of vibe..& also the people we're really looking very wholesome❤
Nice to see a true Professional at work....the nuance and details (not just in shots but intention) are refreshing to see.
Soo good. Super thorough down to every detail.
I love that he listen to VOM while taking pics for a wedding. Besides that though, the knowledge he gives us is pure gold. I definitely need to start following his work. Great Job!
Excellent guidance. Thank you for sharing.
@Taylor - I love your videos in general, but this is my absolute favorite! The direction you have taken with doing interviews and BTS with other photographers has been amazing to see and experience (e.g. John Branch, Photo Me Ike). This one with Sam is definitely one that I will return to for inspiration and to learn from now into the future. Thanks for what you do.

This is an amazing video that covers the bts so broadly! Really fantastic and unique!
Thanks for this behind the scenes! Great insight on how he thinks and photographs a wedding.
Wonderful video! Thank You Sam and Taylor!
I truly enjoyed seeing the process in this video. I don’t currently do weddings but this was an encouraging video to maybe start. Also, love his style.
Absolutely incredible content. Sam is one of a kind. You guys killed it
My gosh this is fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing this. Sam is amazing.
This literally stirred up my creative juices! Thanks so much!
He looks like super calm and pro, such amazing personality and music taste.

Even though I don’t do many weddings these days, I love watching Sam and the way his mind works. It ain’t normal! Great BTS Taylor!
Wowww love love loved this video!!! More of this please 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 so good
Brilliant video. Love your creativity and awesome relaxed style which puts everyone at ease.
wow, what a video! Thanks for letting us seeing all those insights from one of the best wedding photographers on the planet.
Man, thanks for this!! Really cool and insightful video! Love it!
Sam's attitude and philosophy during the wedding day are great, kinda aligned with mine but way better! Thanks for a great video.
I'm just new to photography and I really like candid shots as well as portraits. This video of bts is helpful, thank you..
Best combo ever!
I luv all your vids but this one is top tier !! thanks for sharing !!!
My word, that was special. Should be titled How to make it look so easy! because that's how Sam makes it look. Amazing work from you both! BRAVO!
love it, would love that you touch the topic of pointing the flash, how when and why. At the dance floor I can see its pointed back, but how do you determine that? I'm new at using flash so Im looking for info everywhere I can Also what settings do you use? manual, high speed sync?
Love the tip on horizontal/vertical as wedding party walks down the aisle
THIS IS GOOLD! Thankyou Taylor! Cant wait for another artist.
How cool was that! Thanks for sharing!
Loved this BTS and insight from Sam. And of course theres a button on the Sonys for cropping ;) I have it set as C1
Thank you for this amazing video.
Sam should do more behind the scenes! Totally love this

Sam has such a calming personality. Great video
this was great- im not a wedding photog- but I have done some-this video was very inspirational- and the shots are amazing
Thank you! It's a great video!!!
Really cool one guys. So cool to see the bts! And Sam we’re waiting for a new episode of the podcast ;-)
I really enjoyed that. Thanks Taylor and Sam!
Great content for aspiring weds photographers. His demeanor and relaxed event workflow is something to take note of. *Sony bodies have had ‘super-35’ or apsc mode for some time. I program it on my top custom buttons or even my lens focus hold buttons for quick access.
Great video. Love your techniques and how you photograph a wedding. Just a shame here in the UK we don’t get as much sunshine as we would like when photographing a wedding.
Amazing !!!!
🔥🔥🔥 beautiful shots !!
Scott Robert Lim is an incredible teacher. Great choice. Also thank you to you and Sam Hurd for this video. Awesome work, interesting tip about the push to crop.
You can also set a custom button on Sony to instantly set it to crop sensor mode. I’ve set mine up as C2 for 1.5x crop
This guy is a Real Pro and his work shows it.
Beautiful work.
Fantastic video. I only do hobby street photography, so these sorts of insights really broaden my mind and maybe my courage.
Excellent video thank you
Amazing Vlogging right here Thank you Masters!!!
Awesome content ! Thanks 🙏🏼
Excellent video. This guy rocks.
I found this video soooo much more useful than a scripted, slickly produced story. It frankly gave me a mild anxiety attack taking me back to the first wedding I ever shot. Mid to late morning crappy light. Wedding party in various states of composure. Unfamiliar settings. And seeing the results interspersed was excellent. The steam of conscious was perfect. Best wedding shoot video I’ve watched. Thank you.
Merci beaucoup ! Very very interesting and beautiful work ! He is fan of photos through objects 😉 , and sometimes It helps you to hide crap . I am like him very cautious and fond of backup …
ohhh F***. was it really 43min long? dude this was epic. I have a focus problem but watched this in one go. amazed. very informative and every part, every second of its was amazing. good job man.
Awesome!
