Second military aircraft lands in Gillam as search for B.C. murder suspects continues
Bryer Schmegelsky and Kam McLeod remain at large despite a five-day manhunt and more than 200 tips from the public, Manitoba RCMP said Sunday.
The RCMP are scouring a remote area of northern Manitoba as part of a nationwide search for the pair, who are suspects in the deaths of three people in northern B.C. earlier this month.
Schmegelsky, 18, and McLeod, 19, were last sighted in the town of Gillam, Man., on Monday.
Over the weekend, investigators were canvassing homes and searching buildings in Gillam and neighbouring Fox Lake Cree Nation.
As of Sunday afternoon, RCMP said that 250 homes were visited and canvassing of Fox Lake had been completed.

The only thing the RCMP could find is a Tim Horton's. These are teenage boys playing at survival games. Pretty sad that out military has to get involved in this. The RCMP should be embarrassed.

@Frank Discussion Northern MB has an extremely vast pine forest thick with brush...its hard to see from above and to see 10 or 20 ft in front of u now add that those cowards are wearing camouflage too ffs who knows they could even be ghillied up aswell...maybe u shouldn't b so narrow minded

There is NO WAY they are in the area. Not after a week. Now I would be going to look in Northern Ontario . Pattern is running East .

UPDATE: A native security patrol spotted two men scavenging at a dump site outside of York Landing, a small community 200km south west of Gillam. When approached they ran away into the bush. Heavy RCMP resources are now flooding the area. The fugitives have now been on their own resources for 7 days. Obviously out of food and starving, to be scavenging a garbage dump.

Release the blood hounds . that will do the trick
200 KM away in York landing. if its them, they have been moving by foot or water at night, avoiding the search aircrast that are not allowed to fly after dark. Straight down the nelson river and Clark and split lakes

If....I were them and had all the maps they had.....the Nelson river flows into Hudson Bay....but there is a massive hydro dam...probably with cameras to monitor the dam....not the direction to go ....the best case and safest scenario is to steal a boat and go up the Nelson to Lake Winnipeg ...lots of options there....I do not think they would live long in the wilderness in the Gillam or York Landing area... to hostile....the river is the place to be....just saying...hope they find them...and alive...why did this happen?

What a waste of time and resources still looking for them there. They're probably long gone, either got into Ontario or have supplies and are bushwacking their way until they find a road to get them into the territories (though that's unlikely)
