17:17 Klimt's "Kiss" is ridiculously famous. It was in EVERY artsy person's apartment (as a print,a puzzle, a poster...) when I was a student.😅

And now, just like with other vintage things, it’s rare to find one that’s also in a frame. Of course, like most incredible art, you can still buy prints and frame them. But somehow, it’s just not the same as finding a vintage one. The stone horse book ends are marvelous! I can remember looking at pieces like those, back in the day, but they were out of my price range. Good price on those. I also love the amber glass pieces.

Gustave Klimt, not "Klimit", he`s very famous, I saw the most amazing immersive exposition of his works in Barcelona last year, where they project his artworks all over the rooms (walls, floor, roof). It was magical! His works are very unique and beautiful. One thing about his original work is the use of real gold on some paintings, because he was actually trained as a goldsmith in his father`s studio before becoming a painter, and he used this knowledge in his art by applying gold leaf to some of his works, like the one you got, which is called "The Kiss"!

I cannot believe MaCenna found a (quite large) Framed Klimt for $30!! I once snagged a set of 'The Kiss' and 'The Embrace' for that price... and they were smaller and unframed. Amazing.

Yes, Klimt is so popular. My daughter has the same size print of the "The Kiss" also. Speaking of (Klimt - say in one syllable), you must see the movie "Woman in Gold", unbelievable true movie, so heartfelt, since my grandmother was from Vienna, Austria. The movie has to do with one of his painting that ended up in a L.A. area art museum, well the story is impactful to say the least. Love your blog! Take care.

The Kiss is a favorite. Klimt was the opening artist chosen for the first expo at Atelier des Lumieres in Paris. Suggestion: make some time during your next Paris trip for a fun immersive experience near the Pere Lachaise Cemetery (actually, coincidentally, it just re-opened for another short run). I have the umbrella with the Kiss on it--- quite a nice bright pop of yellow and gold on a rainy day! It makes me smile (plus: It's a little way to attract a nod and smile from other art lovers).

Loved the pieces you found for yourself and the ones for your friends. I actually have the same amber bowl. They originally made what they called console bowls with low, matching candle holders, one for either side. They were named for their placement on a console table - much like yours in your living room - but they would also be seen on a buffet in a dining room or even a dining room table. I'm excited to see the finished projects for your friends! The Klimt print is iconic and would be gorgeous in any space large enough to support it. And that actually brings up something that I like very much about you. You found it and fell in love with it and raved about it. Then when you learned it was actually a famous painting by a well-known artist, you shared what you learned for anyone else who might not know and still loved it. There are sooo many who would not have used that footage and who would have reframed that scenario as you knew all about the original painting, etc. I love your authenticity and your lack of need to be a know-it-all. Your enjoyment of learning new things and sharing what you discover is a delightful trait. Don't ever lose it! 🩷

That’s “The Kiss” have had it on my wall since I was in high school (in the 1990’s). I recently bought it for my friend, who always loved it, from ikea when I saw that they had it. I am so surprised you don’t know what it is! It’s so famous!!!!

I heard you say the Klimt was 5ft wide, but I’m wondering if you are thinking it’s oriented in landscape but it’s actually oriented in portrait, if that makes sense. It’s a tall painting, not a wide one.

I LOVE the art by Klimt! In fact, I have that print hanging in the Feng Shui “love/relationship” corner of our bedroom. There’s an interesting movie about Klimt from a few years ago. As usual, your vlog was lovely and informative. You and Romeo have such fun at flea markets and life itself. Kinsley never dissapoints.🥰🥰

I love seeing “The Kiss” in this video! We had a large print of this hanging in my grandmother’s house and it was what inspired my love of art. I now have the piece in my home and have visited Vienna to see the painting in person! It was spectacular and is very large, much larger than 8 feet high. Just a note I’ve seen in the comments come up- no Klimt is unfortunately not as popular in the States! I don’t know why, the only reason I can think of is that most of his work is in Austria and does not travel often. I am aware of two Klimt works that live in the States, both of which are in New York. His work is beautiful though and so incredibly original, maybe more people will become curious after seeing this video.

Love your finds. I have a green bowl like your amber find. I bought it at an estate sale in the 80's. It is a favorite in the Living or dining room. Please consider moving your oil painting from the bathroom. I know people mentikned humidity before, but also the hair spray. My print, similarly placed, and covered in glass, would get spray on it, but of courese I could clean it off.
