That board is exactly 6" tall. I found it in a furniture store called Nadeau. When I saw it, I had to have it. At the time, I owned a commercial woodworking company. Coulda made it, but never had the idea myself. I still feel kinda stupid.

My Mom pickled the rind, sweet watermelon pickles, they were awesome, they are so expensive this year

My mother made some preserves from the rine of a watermelon. It was so good. Sounds bad but it was really good on toast.

If planted in the garden the stem attachment to the main plant should come off with a simple push indicating the fruit is ripe. If purchasing in store look for size, a large yellow spot, symmetry, unblemished, good reverberation on tapping, and see if the stem was cut or more like it was plucked off.

I found out the best way to cut a watermelon is let Julie do it.

This only works for small watermelons

That has to be the most asinine way I've ever seen anyone cut a water melon. The skin peal was fine, the square chunks was a flop.
