I've had that Kebtec for about 6 months now, and use them every other day - fruit trees, clearing shrubs from fence lines, and even finer floral snipping work. They have not disappointed me in any way.

Good morning, Tim, I purchased a "generic" brand from the Australia Post shop for my partner as she loves pruning. Anyway, it has been a winner for the money paid. And the idea was to use and prove that we needed a set. If they died and needed replacement, the plan was to buy a "better" set. But so far it has not let us down. Thanks for making the comparisons, as I have Ryobi battery gear in the shed, so I would have leaned toward the brand, not now. Cheers.

The Ryobi you have in this video is the lower end model i ended buying the hight model its much faster and stronger add a little bit bigger cutting diameter. Its great i did accidentally find on Amazon they sell battery adapter so you can use other brands in Ryobi. I did end up buying 1 the lets you use Makita batterys in Ryobi. I did try it in a hedge clipper it worked just fine like it was supposed to

Great video! I have a lot of Ryobi One+ stuff and have been impressed with a mate's Ryobi secateurs but based on your review, if I was pruning all day, everday, I would go for the Kebtec. Until I saw this video, I didn't even know it existed. Cheers.

@@FarmLearningTim Yep! And I've had a couple of those "misses". The thing about the Ryobi stuff is that you tend to get locked in once you start accumulating them because of the price of batteries. That said, because of their reasonable prices and long warranty periods, I'm generally happy. If I were a tradie, I would probably go for higher end stuff. I did notice that the Ryobi shears in your video looked very well used. Thanks for your videos, Tim. They save a lot of time doing research on products and reveal products a lot of us mere mortals didn't even know about.

About a week ago, I got the ryobi p2505 hp model brushless with a hp 4ah battery 🔋 and it's a beast think your opinion of the ryobi hp model would differ greatly. Cheers. Update, although heavy in weight with the 12ah hi output 🔋 anything that fits into the jaw and slightly bigger stock with a couple cuts is no problem

I've noticed a lot of reviews always pick the brushed version of the Ryobi tool to compare it's very odd. I've seen a 5+ drill review where all tools were brushless except the Ryobi.

My mother in Spain bought a model very similar to the Mobishear, but it has a problem with a safety feature that detects a too large branch size. It stops even before the blades close. I'd go for the Kebtech all day long since, for most work, medium small branches is all that is needed. I have heard of cheaper kebtech copycat models, that don't have the large branch kickback and push into the branch no matter what. They are also cheaper.

I live in the US and it appears the Ryobi model here is different than the one used in the video. Mine doesn’t “go to sleep” like that and is ready to go with every click. I have a dozen or more Ryobi 18V tools and this one is by far the one I use most. The only problem I have with it is I use it extensively for which the blade loses its sharpness. Seems like there should be a replacement available but according to Ryobi, there is not. So I guess I need to figure out if sharpening the blade (which wouldn’t seem like an easy task) works or just replace it.

Deceptive presentation on the cutting power. Everyone knows or should know that you place the thick or bottom side of the blade against the branch to be cut and let the thin top blade do the cutting. You didn’t do that with the Ryobi or Kebtek…❗️
