While searching for a Sebring race video, I found your instructional lap around the track. As a former Sebring 12hr winner, I'd say your video is very good.

Phenomenal. My only comment would be to add a full motion complete run at the end of the video in real time without stops. Otherwise this is a great learning tool.

This video has helped me drop over 20 seconds off my lap times at Sebring over the course of 3 years at Sebring with the same car. Now I attempt to hit sub 2:30 this up and coming weeks

Very cool...I have only been on Sebring once and that was in 1974; I was a Sr. in H.S. and had raced dirt bikes and motocross/flat track since I was a kid and earned an AMA Expert license in 125cc Motocross but it was getting damn expensive (even with decent support from Island Yamaha in Merritt Island, my Dad who was an Engineer out at The Cape still footed most of the cost and was also my wrench) and I had been accepted to FTU College of Engineering so decided to hang up my racing boots and concentrate on academics my Sr. Year, but then Island Yamaha asked me if I would like to run some laps at Sebring on a TZ-250 (D) with the possibly of getting a full ride for a partial AMA season. I jumped at the chance. We were at Sebring in September and Island Yamaha brought myself and two other riders to turn laps. I had never ridden a road race scooter but I took to it like a fish in water and had the fastest lap times so got the ride....Sebring was damn bumpy on the TZ, that was about all I remember. The other riders hated it and complained the whole time, but to me it was still silky smooth compared to motocross. What a fun year, ended up earning my 250cc/350cc AMA Experts license pretty quickly and raced in several races at Daytona in '75...I was very inexperienced but got a 5th place in one of the 250cc amateur's races (where I earned my Expert licenses) and so got to race in the 200. I was not competitive but stayed mid pack until one of my cylinders got scoured. My only claim to fame in that race was a certain #1 plated TZ-750 passed me coming off the front straight into the infield turn one....I tried following him through the infield to learn a few things and all I learned was KR was a bad man; he slid his TZ-750 all the way across the track at the button hook and was gone.

Hi there! There is a misconception that transferring weight to the outside tires improves overall cornering performance. It doesn’t. The reason is the load sensitivity of the tires, which is the same principle that allows for balance changes to the car when adjusting roll stiffness distribution. A car with less weight transfer always produce more cornering force, all else equal.

Great video. I've learned to instead look at each corner and brake judging by the distance. I dunno. I feel like it makes more sense to keep your eyes where you want to go and not rely on brake markers. I only really use them when overtaking. Proceed to castrate me.

Synystr7 a nurburgring guy taught me the theory of this and I’ve worked on what he said and got faster braking as you mentioned. I use brake markers in heavy zones but it’s basically like “if i make it to the 3 without braking I’m in trouble”

I don't know of any right now. The plan is to produce one of these for each track Chin Track Days visits. You can visit Chintrackdays.com and sign up for the email list. You'll get the Track Times newsletter and these videos will be posted on there.
