The mark of a great actor is to be able to play someone quite beautiful for part of a series, deteriorate slowly, then end up totally emaciated and wasted. How Anthony Andrews failed to receive the Best Actor award for this role, I'll never understand.

The scenes set in Morocco were the first in the serial to be filmed (in Malta).
This is just heartbreaking.
Anthony Andrews... so great as the tragic and beautiful Sebastian
Heartbreaking stuff - & so wonderfully acted by all three. This last scene in which Sebastian appears, is as emotionally powerful as anything I've ever seen on either film or telly. Beats the crap out of Hollywood explosions & gun fights.

coz it was a conscious choice of Sebastian that kind of living. Most part of the times, you cannot save a person from his/her true self. That's the human life.
