I want to go here for college so bad! I was watching all videos on Pepperdine and I started crying because I was so happy and excited.

This could have been my dorm room. This property was first offered to CalTech and Hughes Research Center in the 60's. Caltech faculty voted it down. Do you know the original location of Pepperdine was in the combat zone of South LA ?. You girls are so lucky to have such a beautiful campus.

My uncle went to Pepperdine back in his day- he loved it!! He got in with a full ride scholarship and said it was a fantastic experience :)

Why did I not go to this school? :'( I wish I could re-do my 4 years and go here. The school I went to was not worth the debt. Ugh.

Are all the dorms separated by girls in one building and guys in another? Or do some go by floors, halls, etc? Also, What exactly is the deal with bible study? I applied to this school, but am not religiously affiliated.

***** Hi Maya, thank you for your questions. Pepperdine University is open to students of all faiths and to those who are not religiously affiliated. The religion classes, while required, do not teach a specific denomination of christianity. Correct, all the freshman dorms are single gender. Please call us if you have any more questions.

+Luly Fer It's ok but there are better journalism schools. If you're looking for a great journalism degree I'd recommend looking into the University of Missouri or Northwestern to get the most for your money. They are the top 2 journalism schools in the country.

+Luly Fer Hi Luly. Great question. Personally, I would say that we do have a good program, as many of our alumni I have gone on to be successful in the field. I would recommend contacting some students that are currently in Pepperdine's Journalism program. The Communications Division should be able to connect you up with someone to get first hand information. The great thing about Pepperdine are the opportunities available to students. Our programs are small so students get involved right away, you don't have to wait for being a junior or senior. I would also recommend looking at the entire school, not just the program, because a lot of students do change their major at least once.

Hi, I'm interested in this university but I had a question ? I'm going to a community college for my first time and I would like to transfer there when its time..but I'm interested in law so would I apply to the law department of Pepperdine or the Weaver college then apply to law of Pepperdine once I get my masters ?

Maria Munoz Hi Maria, Seaver College and the Law School are two seperate schools within Pepperdine University. You would transfer into Seaver College to complete your bachelor's degree, and then apply to the Pepperdine Law School. Even if you receive your bachelor's from another institution you can still apply to the Pepperdine Law School, and you do not need a master's to apply. What does a triple look like?

Hi Julia, I wish we could provide you with a picture but unfortunately I don't have one to share. A triple is the same size as a double but the furniture is obviously different, as they use bunk beds. Students get very creative with the space and how the furniture is oriented and will often make it very comfortable.

+Carolyn J. Hi Carolyn, I recommend reaching out to each division for personal recommendations. Our Natural Science and Business divisions are some of the most popular division and both are very highly regarded. And yes, it is an amazing college.

You have to have a disability that can be verified by a medical doctor, and you and your doctor need to convince the school that your disability is a detriment to either you or your potential roomate(s).

+Olivia Hi Olivia, great question. Yes, freshmen can drive on campus, but if you choose not to bring a car there are shuttles around campus and to select areas around malibu for students.

Yes, we have apartments. Freshman are required to stay in the Resident Halls but after your first year you can live in an on-campus apartment.

Crown Tahkilyahh I asked the same question when I just visited there and they said yes! Freshmen can have their own cars and parking is free! :)
