Head of design for Fiat (Alfa) left and joined VW (Seat) hence the design echoes. Looks a bit eggy to me but I do like the hue of blue.

I think these are good motors. I did have the seat Ibiza 1.6 Tdi it was a sport as well under it all it's just a VW i like them. Am not a fan of lowering a car tbh I think it just sresses all the compants out. My preference. Still a good review. 😊

Good review mate! The carrot though hahaha. That dent on the door really stands out 🙄. Will definitely agree though that it does lack characteristics in comparison to older vehicles.

Funny how you miss something once you cant have it.. i loved the style of the leon / cordoba etc. In the early 2000s. Down under we only have vw and skoda. I'd give a small body part for seat to be here with their spanish flair and bland interiors 😂

I quite like how SEAT have progressed under VW's stewardship. These boys that lower do my head in. It's fine on a race track but not on normal roads. Slightly lowering is a different thing I guess but there you go. Great review as always

Maybe the fish looks are down to the fluid dynamics design techniques used these days. Maybe.

@SmashingPistons it always amazes me how people wrap a tesla with a matt finish when the physics say a shiny clean surface is best for air flow . And these twats are trying to save the planet 🙄

To me the Seat Leon looks like an amalgam of lots of other cars, a bit of Alfa here, a bit of Subaru there, a bit of Peugeot in their awful period and a bit of Ford in places. It looks like those cars they use in breakdown or insurance adverts when they just want ‘car to go bad’ and don’t want to make the manufacturer cross with them. I liked the Leon before this and I don’t dislike this one for the reasons above, but dislike it I do. The previous holder of the position of Mrs Miller was offered one as a company car and we went to the Seat garage to have a look and neither of us liked the interior. This one doesn’t look too bad because it’s shiny but the one we would have had would have been dark and gloomy. I didn’t like the large expanses of dash that didn’t have anything to do in the middle, just a big lump of plastic with no buttons to look after and no information to share. I preferred the Saab 9-3 we got to try for a weekend, she preferred a Golf. Just as well really because Saab went bust and her colleagues who chose a Saab had to give them back and were given whatever was laying around. One of her colleagues was forced to have a very basic Astra for two years. You’d get less for murder.

The shape of this Seat says something to me about the Mk2 Vauxhall Astra. I don't think that's a bad thing. Its a nice colour, seems almost the same as MG 'Tahiti' blue. My personal favourite feature is that this Seat is a car and not a jacked-up ridiculous oversized bulbous thing. As if to emphasise the non-jacked-up nature, it would appear to have been jacked-down. Is this Newton's third law of motion in action? For every jacked-up Seat they turn out another one has to be lowered to the ground? 😄
